Introduction

Integrated Program in Management (IPM) is a dual-degree course (Bachelors + Masters) in management at IIM Indore. The course was started in the year 2011 with a vision of training young 12th standard passed students in management. Currently, it is the only course at any IIM that admits 12th passed candidates.  The Programme has been accredited by the Association of MBAs, London (4th and 5th  Year).It is a unique and creative programme meant for young students with managerial and leadership aspirations.This article solely focuses on the IPM exam i.e. IPMAT meant for admission to this course.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Assessment (PA) which may be a Personal Interview (PI) or a Video Based Assessment (VBA) & will be decided by the Admissions Committee in due course of time.

The stages/ modality of the selection process will be as follows:-

Stage 1: The aspirant candidates who satisfies the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application online.

 Notes for Eligibility Criteria:

Note : (i) Candidate should have passed standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examination in year 2020, 2021 or appearing in 2022 & likely to complete by 31 July, 2022 & subject to meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned below. 

         (ii) Minimum Percentage (%) of marks:
(a) Passing year in 2019 or before for standard X/ SSC/ or equivalent- Candidate should have minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC (55 % for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category).
(b)  Passing year in 2020 for standard X/ SSC/ or equivalent- Candidate should have passed standard X/ SSC.
 (c) For standard XII/ HSC or equivalent- Candidate should have passed standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.

Stage 2: The eligible candidates (i.e. Satisfying minimum eligibility criteria) will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be held at specified city centres. The date of conducting AT is Saturday, 02 July, 2022 ( Morning Shift).

Stage 3:  In this stage, candidates will be shortlisted for Stage-4 {i.e. Personal Assessment (PA)} considering only the candidates having positive raw scores and a minimum marks in each of the three sections of Aptitude Test. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be decided by the Admissions Committee. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be based on the categories of applicants.

Stage 4: Sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Assessment (PA) from the eligible pool (refer Stage- 3) for each category (General, EWS, NC-OBC, SC, ST and PwD) using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS).

Shortlisted candidates shall appear for the Personal Assessment. A consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Assessment (which will be decided by Admissions Committee) are expected by the exam conducting Institute. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of parameters will not be considered for the next stage of selection process i.e. Stage-5.

Stage 5: Only those candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will be considered for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score** (CS) and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the Government of India reservation norms.

** Computation of Composite Score (CS)

Intimation will not be sent to candidates who are not selected for final offer.

IIM Indore admits about 150 candidates (for 2022) every year for IPM course.

The date of conducting  the Exam ( AT) is : Saturday, 02/07/2022 ( Morning Shift)

IPM Exam Medium

The IPMAT exam or IPM exam is conducted only in ENGLISH medium.

Type of Examination

The IPMAT exam or IPM exam is a Computer-based Objective type test ( MCQs).

1. Age Limit: Aspirant candidate should have been born on or after August 01, 2002 (5 years of relaxation to  the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category will be given i.e. born on or after August 01, 1997).

IPM Exam Pattern:

Aptitude Test (AT)

Structure of the Aptitude Test will be as under:-

Notes:  (i) Each question will carry 4 marks.

            (ii) There will be a negative marking of 1 negative mark for each wrong answer except Quantitative Ability (SA) Section (these questions will not carry any negative marking). 

              (iii) Candidate has to answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order will remain same for all the candidates.

              (iv) However, the above table does not indicate the final order of sections.

Personal Interview (PI)

Conducted by well-qualified professors from IIM Indore and other prestigious institution, PI aims at judging a student’s:

• Level of Confidence.
• Communication Skills.
• General Awareness.
• Persuasion Skills.
• Knowledge.

How to Apply:

• The application form for IPM exam is usually released in the month of March on the official website of IIM Indore.
• For admission of batch 2022-27, registration portal is open 12/04/2022 to 21/05/2022.
• For registration for new applicants to get User Id & password , go on link :  Registration

1 Read the instructions carefully & then, ”close” it.

2 Read ” Privacy Notice” and then, ”close” it.

3  It will carry you to a new screen for ”Registration”.

4 Enter all the data sought for and then tick ”I agree” & then click ”Submit ” Button.

5  On submission, it will generate User Id and Password.

6 Further,  on receipt of User Id & password to apply ( for already registered candidates) , go on link :

7 Enter User Id and Password to log in.

8 On appeared page(s) , enter all the information & deposit fees as under.

9 Also upload all the documents and select exam centers from the list.

10 Submit the application.

Notes: (i) Candidates of bracket NC‐OBC, SC, ST and PwD categories need to produce valid Caste certificate(s) in support of their reservation category.

(ii) Candidates belonging to Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) need to produce a valid document ascertaining the eligibility of the candidate to apply under EWS category.
