Introduction


XAT 2020, as famously known to most students across India, is a national level management entrance test, conducted every year by XLRI, Jamshedpur on behalf of XAMI. The exam is taken by approx 75,000 – 85,000 MBA aspirants for admission to XLRI (Xavier Labour Relations Institute) along with more than 150 other participating institutions across the country. XAT 2020 is to be held on 05 January 2020. XLRI is opening a new campus in Delhi – NCR from Academic session 2020-22.

XAT 2020 Exam Date


Exam date for XAT 2020 has not been declared as of now. However, based on previous year trends, it is estimated to be conducted in the 05 January 2020 ( 9:30 to 12:30 )

Mode of Answering


As stated above, XAT is known to keep up with cutting edge testing methodologies, and hence the exam will be a computer-based test.

Medium of Examination


This examination is conducted across the country and the only medium for examination is English.

XAT Eligibility Criteria


Following criteria must be fulfilled by an aspirant so as to be termed eligible:

Educational Qualification

The student must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline obtained from a recognized board or university.  The duration of the bachelor’s degree must be at least 3 years.

Students who will graduate in the year 2020 can apply for XAT 2020.

Age Limit

XLRI has not set any age limit for the aspirants. 

Nationality

NRI or foreign candidates can apply through their GMAT scores.

It must be noted here that the above stated eligibility criteria is meant for XAT 2020 entrance test only. The criteria for actual admissions will vary from institute-to-institute and course-to-course.

Registration fee For XAT-2020 is tabulated below:

Documents to be uploaded


In order to complete the XAT application process 2020, candidates must upload the following documents:

  • Scanned color passport-sized photograph
  • Scanned signature.

How to Apply for XAT 2020?


XAT Registrations 2020 is active and last date is 30 November 2020 ( 1200 Mid night).

For XAT 2020 examination, the application can only be submitted through the official website. Following steps to be followed for registration:

1 Go on link xatonline.in & click on “Register” on right top for XAT 2020, a page as under will appear wherein enter details like Name, Date of Birth, mobile no and Email-id.

Note : candidate’s name should be spelled exactly as appears in 10th class certificate/marks sheet.

2. A system generated XAT ID and Password will be communicated through Email/SMS.

Candidate should note down the XAT ID and Password for future communication required through out entire process of admission.

3 Upload Photo & Signature

4 Select exam centers from TEST CITY. Test City preference can be edited only once before November 30, 2019 .

5 Click on the Preview Tab to verify the entire application form and then , after ensuring correctness , click tab FINAL SUBMIT

6 Click on ‘Payment’ Tab and proceed for payment. Fee details may be refereed above.

7 Finally , click on ‘Submit’ button’

XAT Admit Card 2020


The XAT admit card can be down loaded from the 20 December- 03 January 2020.

Candidates will only be allowed to appear in the exam only and only with their admit card.

XAT Examination Pattern


XAT 2020 will be a computer-based test. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.

A total of 99 questions will be placed in the question paper. The XAT pattern 2020 will be described as having 04 sections as tabulated below.

Marking Scheme

  • Each question will carry 1 mark. 
  • 1/4th of the allotted marks to each question will be deducted if answered wrongly.
  • 0.10 marks per question will be deducted if more than 8 questions are left un-attended.

XAT Results


XAT results 2020 will be declared in the 31 January, 2020.

Candidates can check their result from the official website using their XAT ID and password. The scorecard can be downloaded from 31 January to 31 March 2020.

Question: Are Calculators allowed in XAT 2020?

Answer: No calculators aren’t allowed in XAT. However, a virtual calculator is provided by the exam conducting body on the computer screens.
