As per latest notice, NEET 2019 will be conducted only once a year by newly-established National Testing Agency (NTA). 


National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET 2019 is a national level medical entrance examination required to pursue UG medical studies (MBBS/BDS) in India. Since 2017, NEET has replaced all the medical/dental entrance tests at UG level. The NEET 2019 examination will be conducted in 10 languages across India with an applicant expectancy of 1 million+ students. The NEET 2019 official notification shall be published by 1st November 2018.

Beginning from 2019, NEET will be organised by newly-established National Testing Agency. However, the exam shall be held only once unlike JEE Main 2019.

As per latest notification, NTA NEET shall be held only once a year.

NEET 2019 Exam Date

As per latest announcement, NTA NEET shall be conducted only once in 2019.

NTA NEET 2019 will be conducted on the 5th May 2019.

Mode of Answering

NEET UG 2019 exam is conducted ONLINE mode only.

This change has been made post organisation responsibility being shifted from CBSE to NTA.

Medium of Answering

Candidate has the option to take the NEET 2019 examination in any of the languages listed below:

  1. English,
  2. Hindi,
  3. Assamese,
  4. Bengali,
  5. Gujarati,
  6. Kannada,
  7. Marathi,
  8. Oriya,
  9. Tamil,
  10. Telugu &
  11. Urdu.

NEET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Following eligibility clauses  must be satisfied in order to apply online for NEET 2019.


All Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians, Overseas Citizens of India, Persons with Indian Origin and Foreign Nationals are Eligible to apply.

NEET 2019 Age limit

The candidate must have attained minimum 17 years of age at the time of admission or would be 17 on or before the 31st December 2019.

The upper age limit is 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates of the SC/ST/OBC category and Differently Abled (as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016).

Qualifying Examination

Candidates should have passed 12th or any equivalent Examination with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/ Biotechnology and English as Subjects.

Further, the candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together. However, for SC/ST/OBC candidates the requirement is 40% marks whereas it is 45% for PWD candidates.

Candidates appearing for 12th Examination are also Eligible to apply.

Candidates who have passed B.Sc from a recognized university in India and have studied minimum two subjects out of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology are also eligible for NEET UG 2019.

Number of Attempts

There is no limit to the number of attempts as per the recent guidelines issued.

NEET 2019 Application Form

Candidates can apply online for NEET 2019 through the official NTA NEET website.

The online portal for the exam would be open for registration & application between the 1st Nov – 30th Nov 2019.

Candidates can pay the NEET exam fees via digital mediums only:

  • Net Banking.
  • Credit Card/Debit Cards
  • e-wallet services such as PayTm, Oxygen wallet etc.

No demand drafts are accepted. 

Documents to be Uploaded

  • Scanned images of their latest passport size Photograph with candidate’s name & date of taking Photograph (10kb to 100kb file size).
  • Signature (3kb to 20kb file size) in JPG/ JPEG format only.

Admit Card

The admit cards for NEET 2019 will be available for download from the 15th April 2019.

After the download, a copy of the card will also be sent to the candidates’ email Id. The admit cards will not be sent through post.

NEET 2019 Examination Pattern

NEET 2019 will comprise of total 180 Questions in the Multiple- Choice Question (MCQ) pattern.

The question paper will be drawn from following subjects:

The NEET 2019 results will be published somewhere around the 1st week of June 2019.


For Seats under 15% All India Quota, Central Institutions including AFMC, ESI, BHU, AMU and Deemed Universities.

Online counselling as directed and conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee of the Director General of Health Services. For further details candidates are requested to visit

Other than 15% All India Seats

Counselling under this will be managed by the respective authorities of the State governments/ Medical/Dental Colleges/ Institution/ University concerned for counselling in accordance with the merit list prepared by the same.
