14 June, 2023 :

NTA released the result of NEET(UG)-2023 on 12 June, 2023. Certain important points of NEET (UG) -2023:

(i) It is a uniform test for admission to undergraduate courses in each of the disciplines i.e. BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses of the Indian System of Medicine in all Medical Institutions . NEET (UG) shall also be applicable to admission to BHMS course under National Commission for Homeopathy.

(ii) The test was conducted for 2087462 candidates at 4097 different Centres located in 499 Cities throughout the country including 14 Cities outside India on 07 May 2023 (Sunday).

(iii) The Examination was conducted in 13 languages (Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada,
Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu).

(iv) The Result of NEET (UG) – 2023 may be utilized by other Entities of Central and State Governments, in
accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules.

(v) The NEET (UG) – 2023 data will also be used for admissions to BVSc & AH courses under the 15% quota of VCI in recognized Veterinary Colleges.

(vii) AACCC (All-India Ayush Central Counselling Committee) shall be the counselling authority for AIQ with
respect to BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses under NCISM. AACCC shall also be the Counselling Authority
for AIQ with respect to BHMS under NCH.

(viii) The NTA has provided All India Rank to the candidates and the admitting Authorities will draw a merit list based on All India Rank for the seats of MBBS/BDS falling under their jurisdiction.

(ix) When candidates apply to their State, they will have to mention their category as per State Category List. State Counselling Authorities will accordingly make their Merit List. The same is the case with the domicile. The NTA has no role in it.

(x) The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India will conduct the Counselling for
15% All India Quota Seats, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, Seats of ESIC and AFMC, BHU and
AMU.
Candidates are advised to visit the website www.mcc.nic.in for further information.

(xi) Candidates will apply for 15% All India Quota seats as per the directions of DGHS and Counselling will be stopped once the seats are exhausted.
(xii) The details and schedule of counselling would be available on the websites of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Directorates of States.

NTA releases Provisional Answer Key, Display of Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheet and Display of Recorded Response for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2023 to challenge

(i) NTA releases Provisional Answer Key, Display of Scanned Images of OMR Answer Sheet and Display of Recorded Response on 04 June, 2023.

(ii) To down load the answer key, go on following links:

(iii) Candidate can challenge recorded response & Answer key.

(iv) It is available 04/06/2023 to 06/06/2023(up to 11:50 pm).

14 May, 2023:

Release of Answer Key of NEET ( UG)-2023

NEET 2023was held on May 7 2023.

Next step by the NTA is to release the provisional answer key of along with candidates’ responses and question papers. It is likely to be issued by end of May, 2023 & will be available on neet.nta.nic.in.

Analysis of NEET ( UG)-2023 Exam conducted on 07 May, 2023

(i) NTA conducted & successfully conducted the NEET (UG) Exam – 2023 on 499 cities (4075 Centres) including 14 cities abroad from 2 pm till 5:20 pm today. However, exam could not be conducted in Manipur state due to law & order situation. 5751 candidates were scheduled to appear in Manipur state.

Analysis of question paper:

As per reactions of the candidates & experts, overall analysis of the question paper is tabulated as under:

(iii) Total of 20,87,449 candidates registered for NEET (UG) 2023.

(iv) It is likely that cut off will go up with reference to last year.

(v) In view of the last year trend, result of NEE(UG)-2023 is likely to be released in end of month May or early June.

(vi) Likely category wise cut off will be published shortly. Keep watching regularly.

Release of Admit Cards for the Candidates of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2023

(i) NTA has released the admit card for NEET( UG)-2023.

(ii) Admit card can be downloaded in following steps:-

Step 1: Go on direct link of NEET ( UG) 2023 Admit Card

Step 2: A window will open. Enter Application Number, Date of Birth & appearing Security PIN

Step 3: On submission, Admit card will appear & download it.

Step 4: Get it printed.

(iii) In case any candidate faces difficulty in downloading the Admit Card for NEET (UG) – 2023 along with the undertaking, he/she may contact on 011-40759000 or e-mail at neet@nta.ac.in.

NTA released Advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City to the Applicants of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) – 2023

(i) NEET (UG)] – 2023 will be conducted at different Centres located in 499 cities throughout the country and 14 Cities Outside India on 07 May 2023.

(ii) Date of Test : 7 May, 2023 (Sunday) from 02:00 P.M. to 05:20 P.M.

(iv) It is to be keep in mind that centre allotment city is not Admit Card. Admit card will be issued separately & shortly.

1 Total Medical colleges in country: 612 (322 Government & 290 Private)

 2 Total MBBS seats for 2022-23: 92000 (Almost)

 3 Distribution of 92000 seats   : 480000 (nearly) in Government & 44000 in Private medical colleges.

4 Under a centrally sponsored scheme, total 3495 additional MBBS seats have been approved. These seats are approved for existing medical colleges of 16 states & union terrotries as per following tabulated data:

Note: (i) Other smaller states are having fewer medical colleges & lesser seats.

Important Points about NEET OMR Answer Sheet

OMR (Optical Mark Recognition) Sheet  is read by a software which  is very sensitive and can only read properly filled black coloured bubbles. As such, candidates must read following instructions at least twice before filling the OMR sheet & going to examination centre:-

  (i) The answer sheet is consists of two copies. Original copy and Office Copy. Candidate should not attempt to separate or displace while recording information or answers.

       (ii) Specific spaces or boxes are provided in the OMR sheets to fill the required information like Roll Number, Test Booklet No. and Test Booklet Code . Candidate has to ensure that required information is filled in appropriate box .

     (iii) In the OMR Sheet, write the Candidate’s Name, Father’s Name, and Mother’s Name in running handwriting in the Name column given in sheet.

    (iv) Candidates are required to sign with time (in running handwriting) in the declaration column.

    (v) The test is of 3 hours duration and the Test Booklet contains 200 multiple-choice questions (four options with a single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany and Zoology)..

     (vi) Do not write anything else on the NEET OMR sheets or do not make any specific symbol or sign there on. This can lead to the rejection of the OMR Sheet.

(vii) For filling thr NEET OMR Sheet, use only blue or black ball point pen to darken the circles.

(viii) Darken only one circle questions because there is only one answer,which is the most appropriate for all the questions.

(ix)  Darken the complete/ whole circle. The software is very sensitive and can only read properly filled black coloured bubbles

(x) Do not tamper or scratch the in NEET OMR sheet.

(xi)  Do not do the rough work on the OMR Sheet.

(xii) The Student must check and ensure that the code printed on the OMR sheet for NEET is the same as that on the NEET 2021 test booklet. In case of the dicrepency, matter should immediately be brought into the knowledge of invigilator who will replace both Booklet & OMR Answer Sheet.

(xiii)  Mark the answer in appropriate space in the OMR Answer sheet corresponding to question number.

 (xiv) Candidates are not allowed to carry original or office copy of the OMR Sheet on completion of the test.
