This article describes the eligibility criteria for NMAT or Narsee Monjee Aptitude Test. NMAT is a national level entrance exam conducted by GMAC on the behalf of NMIMS, Mumbai. The entrance exam is conducted annually for admissions to MBA courses at Narsee Monjee and other institutes. As such there are no specific eligibility criteria for NMAT 2019. The NMAT by GMAC eligibility will depend on the application/admission eligibility criteria of the respective MBA colleges.

NMAT 2019 official notification is now available online.
The entrance exam is expected to be conducted over a 75 days window from 4th October to 17th December 2019.

NMAT 2019 Eligibility Criteria
The NMAT 2019 test itself has no criteria. The test organizers forward the scores to respective universities or institutions preferred by the test taker. And hence the test taker has to be aware of eligibility criteria of the respective institutions he/she wishes to join.
Some rules apply irrespective of the institution such as,
- The test taker must possess a U.G. degree, or must be in the last year of under-graduation.
- Aggregate Scores in all UG degree must be above 50%, or the minimum pass percentile, whichever is higher.
- All papers must be cleared without backlog or arrears before appearing for NMAT 2019.
Qualifying Examination
MBA/MBA HR/PGDM
- Qualifying Exam: The candidate applying must possess the Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a recognized University/Board.
- Minimum Marks: The candidate must have a minimum score of 50% aggregate marks in the bachelor’s degree.
MBA in Pharmaceutical Management
- Qualifying Exam: The Candidate should have completed the Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3/4) in either of the following disciplines with minimum 50% aggregate marks:
- B.Pharma
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences, Medical Technology,
- MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS,
- B.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Biotechnology
- B.Tech/B.E. Bio-Tech. ,
- B.Tech/B.E. Bio-Medical,
- Candidates bearing work experience in Pharmaceutical companies of two or more years are preferred.
Age Limit
There is no age limit for appearing in NMAT.
Number of Attempts
There is no cap on maximum number of allowed attempts.
Work Experience
The institutes usually prefer candidates with experience 2 years or more working years for full- time Management Programmes.
