Introduction
The NTA (National Testing Agency) is a national level government body responsible for conducting entrance exams for higher education in India. NTA was established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development as an autonomous body in 2018. Since it’s operativeness, NTA undertakes exams like NEET, JEE, DU JAT, CMAT, etc. On 21st August 2019, NTA has released the NTA Schedule 2020 for the exam in Dec’19 to Jun’20.
NTA Exam Schedule December 2019 – June 2020
On August 21, 2019, NTA has released the dates of 13 exams to be held between December 2019 to June 2020. NTA is expecting Upton 7 lacs registrations for these 13 exams. The exam schedule is as follows.

Major Highlights of NTA 2020 Schedule
NTA has released the exam calendar well in time to avoid exam date clashes between national and state level examinations. The major highlights from the calendar are as follows
- NTA is going to introduce ‘face recognition technology’ in examinations. The board has successfully conducted its trial runs and will soon implement it in the exam halls. This will end candidate impersonation in exams.
- Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) becomes the first business school to conduct entrance through NTA.
- JEE Mains shall be conducted from January 6, 2020 to January 11, 2020 and April 3, 2020 to April 9, 2020.
- NEET UG shall be conducted on May 3, 2020.
- Double photo verification has also been introduced by NTA. Candidates will need to upload a live photograph at the time of registration and also at the time of entry into the test centre. The photographs will be verified by computer in real time.
