The most sought-after course in IIM Bangalore is the PGP program which is the main flagship course in that college. We shall look into the admission process of this program in detail in this section.
For admission into the PGP program and PGP-BA program, students will have to take the CAT (Common Admission Test) which is held once a year (turn by turn) by different IIMs across the country.
Refer here for PGP admission procedures and PGP-BA admissions. (Both courses have similar admission procedures, the only difference being, PGP-BA admissions have a less CAT score requirement compared to the flagship PGP program.
In brief, after the CAT exam, aspirants will have to appear for an interview based on shortlisting from various criteria like the performance in 10th, 12th exams, UG score, and sometimes work experience factor as well. The weightage for each of these factors varies every year depending upon the candidate pool available to the college.
After the interview, a final shortlist will be released by IIM Bangalore which is independent of other IIMs, and this can be considered as the official admission call.
