Introduction

IIM Bodhgaya is one of the new IIMs established in the country by the Government of India. It has established in the year 2015 and within a short span of time has shown an incredible amount of progress in terms of education quality and placements. Location

Bodh Gaya is a popular religious place situated in Bihar and is accessible by multiple modes of transport. Thus, connectivity, will not be an issue, as people can reach the state by air, train, and road transport as well.

The campus is situated at a distance of just 10 kms from the nearest airport (Gaya International Airport) and the travel time is approximately 20 minutes to reach the campus.

The closest railway station to the campus is the Gaya Junction Railway station which is at a distance of 17 kms from campus and takes about 45 minutes to reach the campus.

Ranking

IIM Bodh Gaya has been ranked 24^th among all the B-schools in India based on the rankings released by the survey of THE WEEK-HANSA ranking in the year 2020.

Admission Procedure

The admission process for the PGP program is similar to all other IIMs, and the students need to take a CAT exam and also should have either completed their Bachelor’s degree or be in their final year of their Bachelor’s degree while writing the CAT Exam.

After taking the CAT exam, aspirants will have to appear for an interview based on shortlisting from various criteria like the performance in the 10^th, and 12^th exams, UG score, and gender diversity factor as well. The weightage for each of these factors varies every year depending upon the candidate pool available to the college.

Selection Criteria for PGP admissions – Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya

There are two stages of selection:

1. Shortlisting candidates based on their CAT Scores, 10^th, and 12th board marks for PI.
2. Final Selection on the basis of PI.

The first basis of shortlisting candidates is through their CAT Score, 10th and 12th board marks. Along with the overall CAT Score, section-wise scores are also considered while shortlisting candidates.

Minimum CAT Score Requirement (CAT 2021) to be considered eligible for PI stage (In percentile):

The first list of shortlisted candidates for the interview stage is prepared based on discussions by 9 IIMs together and they conduct a process called as CAP (Common Admission Process) for PI. In addition to CAP, IIM Bodh Gaya might conduct a Supplementary Admission Process (SAP) if required, and then the final merit list will be prepared.

Final Selection Criteria

For the final selection, the shortlisted candidates are required to take an interview through CAP, and during the interview, the candidate’s academic performance, knowledge of concepts in the bachelor’s degree, and prior work experience (if applicable) will be judged.

The final selection will be made on the following basis:

1. CAT Score – 50%
2. Personal Interview (PI) – 20%
3. Profile – 30%

Campus

IIM Bodh Gaya currently has a temporary campus, and hostel is built for accommodating the students. However, the hostel has many facilities like sports stadiums, and gyms to improve the physical health of the students.

The new campus is expected to open within a span of one year and is proposed to have state-of-the-art classrooms and hostel facilities within the same premises.
