What is SRMJEEE?


SRMJEEE or SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination is a national level engineering entrance exam organised by the SRM University. It is a joint entrance examination which is organised to provide admission to B. Tech. and M. Tech. courses, offered at SRM University’s campuses. SRMJEEE 2019 application form were available from 27th October 2018 and the examination was conducted between 15th – 25th April 2019.

The important dates for SRMJEEE exam for the year 2019 have been tabulated below:

SRMJEEE 2019 Exam Date


The SRMJEEE 2019 examination was held between 15th – 25th April 2019.

Mode of Examination


SRMJEEE 2019 is a computer-based online exam. 

Medium of Examination


SRMJEEE exam will be conducted in English language only.

SRM University Campuses


SRM University currently has 8 sister campuses at various locations in the country. The 8 campuses include:

  1. Kattankulathur, Chennai. (Main Campus)
  2. Vadapalani, Chennai.
  3. Ramapuram, Chennai.
  4. Sonepat, Haryana.
  5. Gangtok, Sikkim.
  6. Tiruchchirappalli.
  7. NCR.
  8. Amaravati, AP. (est. 2016)

Apart from the above-mentioned locations, the SRM group also has other colleges in its family tree.

SRMJEEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria


The Eligibility Criteria for SRMJEEE 2019 Examination is:

Nationality


Aspirants falling into either of the following categories are eligible for SRMJEEE examination:

  • A citizen of India
  • A Non-Resident Indian (NRI)
  • An OCI card-holder
  • A PIO card-holder

Qualifying Exam


Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam from a recognized board in a full-time regular course are only eligible for SRMJEEE. Candidates who have studied 10th & 12th through NIOS are not eligible for the entrance test.

Candidates should have passed the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology/Botany & Zoology/Biotechnology.

Candidates who have not had mathematics in 11th or 12th will be considered only for Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering programs.

Minimum Marks


Candidates must have scored minimum 60% aggregate in PCM or PCB for admission at Kattankulathur. However, an aggregate of 50% would suffice for admissions  at Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Ghaziabad (NCR) and Sonepat campuses.

Age Limit


Candidate must be above 17 years of age as on 31st July of the year in which the candidate attempts the 12th Board Examination.

How to Apply?


Candidates will have to fill the SRMJEEE 2019 application form and submit it via online mode only.

SRMJEEE 2019 application form were made available on the official website from 27th October 2018.

Candidates were allowed to fill and submit the application form till the 1st March 2019 in Offline medium while the same was available till 24th April 2019 in Online medium.

However, the official website has its application portal still shown as ‘open’ and the registration is taking place. The link: http://www.srmuniv.ac.in/admission-india/

Application Fees


The application fee for the online SRMJEEE 2019 application form is Rs. 1100/-. The fee for the offline form is Rs. 1160/-.

Application Fee must be submitted either through online mode via Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking; or by DD.

  • Scanned passport size photograph.
  • Scanned signature

Admit Card


The SRMJEEE 2019 hall tickets were made available from 10th April 2019 till 25th April 2019 on the official website.

The admit card will be made available through online mode only. No offline admit card will be issued. Candidates must download the admit card by entering their login credentials.

SRMJEEE 2019 Pattern


The details of the SRMJEEE 2019 exam pattern (based on previous year) has been described below:

Exam Duration: The duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Type of Questions: There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) only.

Total Marks: The question paper has 3 parts (Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology) each of 105 marks, making a total of 315 marks.

Total Number of Questions: There will be 35 questions for each part and hence there will be 105 questions spread across 3 sections.

The section-wise distribution is as below:

Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking.

Slot Booking


Post successful registration for SRMJEEE 2019, candidates will be able to book an exam date and session of there choice from the available ones. This is called Slot Booking.

SRMJEEE 2019 slot booking is expected to commence from the 1st week of April 2019. Candidates will be able to use there registered email ID & password to log-in and book a slot of choice.

Results


SRMJEEE 2019 Results have been announced on 27th April 2019.

A merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained. SRMJEEE 2019 results will be available on the official website.

Candidates must take a print out of the SRMJEEE 2019 results for future reference.

SRMJEEE 2019 Counselling


Post the announcement of SRMJEEE 2019 results, qualified-candidates will be able to attend the Offline Counselling at SRM Campus.

Counselling is expected to begin from 3rd May 2019 after the declaration of the result. The counseling is expected to continue till 8th May 2019.

To appear in the counselling, a candidate needs to download the counselling call letter from the website. The venue of counselling will depend on the campus chosen by the student for admission and hence will take place on almost all campuses across the nation.

The documents to be submitted during the counselling are:

  • SRMJEEE 2019 Rank/Score Card
  • Class 10th marksheet.
  • 12th Standard Admit Card.
  • SRMJEEE 2019 Admit Card
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Counselling Call Letter.
  • Demand Draft for Counselling fee.
  • Photo ID Proof.
  • Cancelled Cheque bearing candidate’s name.

Counselling is likely to be a 2-days affair and hence requisite arrangements are expected out of students.
