The Joint Seat Allocation Authority for admission in Academic Year 2020-21 has notified that time of start of choice filling , which was earlier 06 October ,2020 10:00 AM has been extended to 06 October, 2020 12:00 Noon.

1 IIT Delhi , the exam conducting Institute for JEE ( Advanced) 2020 has notified that qualified candidates can fill their choices of the Institutions in order of preference for admission in 110 Institutions , This will start on 06 October ,2020 at 10:00 12:00 Noon.This single platform of admissions includes following Institutions. :

23 IITs,

31 NITs,

IIEST Shibpur,

26 IIITs and

29 Other-GFTIs ( Government Funded Technical Institutions) .

Admission to all these institution ,for all the academic programmes are done through single platform.

Key in your Credential viz. Application Number of JEE ( Main)-2020 And if you are registered for JEE ( Advanced) use the password of JEE ( Advanced) or otherwise password of of JEE ( Main ) -2020, and then, Log in.

INTRODUCTION 

JEE Main is an  engineering entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) twice a year. The Exam is a gate way for  admission in various B.E, B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Plan courses to the aspiring candidates. A large number of Engineering colleges including CFTIs ( Centrally Funded Technical Institutions) and NITs ( National Institutions of Technology) accept JEE main score cards offering admissions to eligible candidates. It is also stage one exam for two stage exam for admission in IITs. This is a qualifying exam to appear in JEE ( Advance).   For next Academic year 2020-21,  1st exam will be conducted in month of January 2020 and 2nd will be in month of April 2020 and application can be filled between 07 Feb- 07 Mar 2020.

candidate’s higher of the two NTA scores (JEE Main 2020 of January and April) will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking.

JEE Main Registrations 2020 for January exam has begun from 3 rd September 2019  ending on30 th September 2019  10 October 2019( ( up to 11:50 pm). The date has been extended.

Eligible candidates can apply for the same by log on:

 JEE Main application portal.                           

 Registration Process

JEE Main Registration 2020 is completely online process.

Registration will be in following steps:

1    Log on  JEE Main Registration portal.  Reopened on 19 May 2020

2   Go on    New Candidate Registration

3   Click the link  New Registration  at  bottom

4   on clicking, a new window will open

5   At bottom click in  box at left against  I have downloaded Information         Bulletin, read and understood all the instructions

6   After clicking it , a new window will open of Registration Form

7   Fill in the registration form with details like  Name, DOB, mobile                    number and email ID address correctly.   Registration form, which is in          04 parts ( Keep in readiness password and security question.)                          For  correctly creating password, see password policy below.

8  on completion of Registration form, In 4th part, enter security pin shown     below and submit the form by clicking Submit button

9  On submission  a confirmation page will be generated containing                    Application Number which will be used 

      Note:  (i) For subsequent logins, candidate will have to login directly                               with the  system generated Application Number and                                           created Password.

                 (ii)  The created application number will also be used to fill the                                    application form of April, 2020, if the candidates wish to apply                            for the same.

Password policy

    The Password must be set as per the following Password policy :

        1 Password must be 8 to 13 character long.

        2 Password must have at least one Upper case alphabet

       3  Password must have at least one Lower case alphabet.

       4  Password must have at least one numeric value

       5  Password must have at least one special characters eg.!@#$%^&*-.

JEE Main 2020 Application Fee

The detail of the application fees is tabulated below:

Note :  Processing charges and  GST are to be paid by the candidate, as                         applicable.

The following modes of payment are available for JEE Main 2020 Application . Mode of Payment of Fees:

        On Line

• Credit Card
• Debit Card
• Net Banking
• UPI
• Paytm

        Off Line

    Through e-challan, which can be printed by the candidate and  further           paid at any  branch of State Bank of India (SBI).

• Note : After successful payment of the fees, a confirmation page will be generated. If,  the Confirmation Page is not generated on whatsoever reasons after payment of fee, then, the transaction is cancelled and the candidates have to approach the concerned bank for refund of amount. However,in the circumstances, confirmation page is not generated, the candidate has to make another payment/transaction.

     State of Eligibility

 State code of eligibility is defined as the code of the State from where the       candidate has passed Class XII (or equivalent) qualifying examination by   virtue of which qualification, the candidate becomes eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2020.

It is worth mention that the State code of eligibility does NOT depend upon the native place or the place of residence of the candidate. 

If a candidate has passed Class XII (or equivalent) qualifying examination from one State but appeared for improvement from another State, the candidate’s State code of eligibility will be from where the candidate first
passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination and NOT the State from where the candidate has appeared for

How to Fill the Application Form

Log on     Application Portal

Step I: Signing In

 Enter registration Number and password

 Enter security pin and press button of sign in

Step II :Documents to be uploaded

      Scanned images of the following  require to be uploaded for JEE Main             2020 application: 

• Passport size recent Photograph (Size: 10KB to 200KB; Dimension: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm; Format: JPEG/JPG).

• Candidate’s Signature (Size: 4KB to 30KB; Dimension: 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm; Format: JPEG/JPG).
• Note : As per notification of NTA, upload the correct Photograph and Signature, as,the further facility for correction will not be given.

   Step III : Information required / Documents to be referred but not to                        be uploaded         

• Class 10 th mark sheet ( For date of Birth)
• Class 12 Marks sheet  (if issued) , % ge marks obtained ( Qualifying Exam) , Year of passing, name of school passing or appearing with name of Board or all particulars of equivalent qualification
• A valid Id proof like  Ration Card, Aadhar Card Number , Passport Number, voter Id, PAN or any other valid Government Id as accepted by Exam Conducting body ( NTA).
• Particulars of  Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card for Online Payments purpose. 
• Parents / Guardian name as appearing in authentic documents and their  education qualification,  Occupation and annual income
• Choice of Exam city  04 chices in order of priority( Refer Appendix III from page No 16 -22 of Information Bulletin of NTA . Logon :
• EXAM CITIES
• Nationality
• Category like SC/ST/PwD/OBC/NCL/EWS
• Mode of preparation i.e. self studies, by correspondence courses, by coaching classes , by individual tuition.
• Language option i.e. Hindi/ English/ Gujarati (The option of question paper language should be exercised at the stage of filling in the Application Form and it will not be changed at a later stage).
•  State of Eligibility . For details , refer above.
• Step IV: Fill the application form Based on above individual data /                  upload image of photo and signature, fees ( for details                        refer above)

• Step IV: Generating of Confirmation Page

On successfully filling the application form of JEE Main 2020 , the confirmation page will be generated. Candidates must download it and keep it for future reference. The confirmation page contains various details  including registration number. The details will be required for downloading of admit card,and also during  counselling. 

Correction Facility

Post completion of the applicationform, NTA provides candidates with a correction window of 2-3 days in order to correct the errors made while filling the application form.
