LATEST UPDATE: 

Due to lok sabha election , Date of JEE (Advance ) has been rescheduled on 27 May 2019.

Application correction link  has been made active by NTA at the  official website jeemain.nic.in  from March 11 to 15 March 2019. Registered candidates can correct the application form and rectify the error. However,  change of choice of  centre (cities ) is not permitted.Other fields in the form viz. name, mother’s name,        father’s name, etc. Since, it is a onetime facility extended to        the   candidates to avoid any hardship , the candidates are informed to undertake the correction(s) very carefully as no    further chance will be given.   

Registration of JEE (Main) April 2019 has been closed on 07        March 2019. Around 70% candidates appeared in January            2019 have again registered for examination to be held in              April 2019.

(ii)  Admit card would be released  on 18 March 2019.

   (iii)   Result of JEE (Main) April 2019 would be released on                   30 April 2019 along with JEE Rank.

(iv) Around 9.54 Lakh candidates have registered for                          JEE ( Main) April 2019.

(v) Best of score of Two will be considered for preparation of              merit list/ Ranking. 

                                                                 Introduction


JEE Advanced is a national-level entrance exam for admission into the UG programs at the IITs and is conducted by the IITs themselves on a rotational basis. JEE Advanced is the second step for admission into the IITs after JEE Mains. More than two lakh students take the JEE Advanced exam every year based on their JEE Mains and 12th Board exam results. JEE Advanced 2019 is expected to be conducted in the 1st week of May 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019 Exam Date


JEE Advanced 2019 will be held in the 27 May 2019. There are two papers for JEE Advanced, both of which shall be conducted on the same day.

Medium of Examination


JEE Advanced 2019 will conducted in both ENGLISH and HINDI. The candidates have the option to choose the language in which they wish to take the exam.

Mode of Examination


JEE Advanced 2019 shall be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and thus shall be conducted online.

Eligibility Criteria


  • The candidate would need to qualify JEE Mains 2019. He/she would also need to score positive marks in Mains and should be in the top 2,24,000 candidates.
  • Candidates have to score a minimum aggregate of 75% marks (65% in case of SC/ST/PWD category) in their 12th Board exams.
  • Candidates must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of qualified candidates in their 12th Board exams.
  • Candidates should have been born on or after 1st October, 1994. Reserved category i.e. SC/ST/PWD candidates get a 5 year relaxation in age limit and hence those born on or after 1st October, 1989 are eligible to apply for this exam.

JEE (Main) 2019 Exam Pattern


There shall be 3 sections in the JEE Advanced 2019 paper:

  1. Physics,
  2. Chemistry and
  3. Mathematics.

There shall be 2 papers and the duration of each paper shall be 3 hours or 180 minutes. The paper shall have both objective-type questions (MCQs). There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers.

JEE Advanced 2019 Hall Ticket


JEE Advanced 2019 hall ticket shall be available in the 18 April 2019. The admit cards can be downloaded from the official website.

JEE Advanced 2019 Answer Key


The JEE Advanced 2019 answer key should be released around the 1st week of June 2019 i.e. a week before the actual results.

Results


The results of JEE Advanced 2019 shall be announced on 30 April 2019 on the official website.

JEE Advanced 2019 Counselling


The counselling should begin by July 2019. There are multiple rounds of counselling and seat allocation is done based on the rank of the candidate and the preferences of institute and branch filled by him/her.
