Introduction
JEE Advanced is a national-level entrance exam for admission into the UG programs at the IITs and is conducted by the IITs themselves on a rotational basis. JEE Advanced is the second step for admission into the IITs after JEE Mains. More than two lakh students take the JEE Advanced exam every year based on their JEE Mains and 12th Board exam results. JEE Advanced 2019 is expected to be conducted in the 1st week of May 2019.

JEE Advanced 2019 Exam Date
JEE Advanced 2019 will be held in the 27 May 2019. There are two papers for JEE Advanced, both of which shall be conducted on the same day.
Medium of Examination
JEE Advanced 2019 will conducted in both ENGLISH and HINDI. The candidates have the option to choose the language in which they wish to take the exam.
Mode of Examination
JEE Advanced 2019 shall be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and thus shall be conducted online.

Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate would need to qualify JEE Mains 2019. He/she would also need to score positive marks in Mains and should be in the top 2,45,000 candidates. Higher score out of both JEE Jan 2019 and April 2019 will be considered.
- Candidates have to score a minimum aggregate of 75% marks (65% in case of SC/ST/PWD category) in their 12th Board exams.
- Candidates must be within the category-wise top 20 percentile of qualified candidates in their 12th Board exams.
- Candidates should have been born on or after 1st October, 1994. Reserved category i.e. SC/ST/PWD candidates get a 5 year relaxation in age limit and hence those born on or after 1st October, 1989 are eligible to apply for this exam.
JEE (Advanced) 2019 Exam Pattern
There shall be 3 sections in the JEE Advanced 2019 paper:
- Physics,
- Chemistry and
- Mathematics.
There shall be 2 papers and the duration of each paper shall be 3 hours or 180 minutes. The paper shall have both objective-type questions (MCQs). There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers.

Qualified candidates can visit Candidate Portal for AAT registration. The registration this year was open until 15th June 2019. The AAT was held on 17th June 2019.
JEE Advanced 2019 Counselling
The counselling has begun. There are multiple rounds of counselling and seat allocation is done based on the rank of the candidate and the preferences of institute and branch filled by him/her.
