Introduction

Exam for IBPS Clerk is conducted by IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) for candidates who want to join clerical post in banking sector all over the country. Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts exam for recruitment opportunity in banking sector for various posts. For selection, candidates has to pass two levels of examination i.e. Preliminary exam and mains for selection for the post. Online apply link for IBPS Clerk Exam has been made activated on 1 July, 2022.

Medium and Mode of Examination

Exam paper will be in English and language as per state applied for language. CBT(Computer based Test) mode of examination will be followed for both preliminary and mains.

For different states, medium of paper (other than English), go on table on page 8 & 9 of official notification.

Eligibility criteria for IBPS Clerk:

A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda,
the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam
with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) &
(v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification ( As on 21/07/2022):

A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognised by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.

The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.

Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute.

Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.

Ex-Servicemen who do not possess the above civil examination qualifications should be matriculate Ex-Servicemen who have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after having completed not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union as on 21.07.2022. Such certificates should be dated on or before 21.07.2022.

Note: – All the educational qualifications should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised
by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or
before 21.07.2022.

Age Eligibility: (As on 01/07/2022).


Minimum: 20 years

Maximum: 28 years i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1994 and not later than 01.07.2002 (both dates inclusive)

Age relaxation for persons subjected to certain criteria given below:

of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above in Point No. 3 to 6.

How to apply?

Candidates can apply online only from 01.07.2022 to 21.07.2022 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Pre-Requisites for Applying Online

Before applying online, candidates should—

(i) scan their :

– photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) (Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb)

– signature (Dimension: 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height)

-Left thumb impression (If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If no fingers are available, the impression of left toe may be taken. In all such cases where left thumb impression is not uploaded, the candidate should specify in the uploaded document the name of finger and the specification of left/right hand or toe).

– a hand written declaration (text given below) { In case of candidates who cannot write may get the text of declaration typed and put their left hand thumb impression (if not able to sign also) below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications}. ensuring that the all these scanned documents adhere to the required specifications as given in Annexure III to this Advertisement.

(ii) Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.

(iii) The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged

(iv) The text for the hand written declaration is as follows (The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen) ( Dimension:10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height).

“I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

(v) The above mentioned hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only and should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. If it is written by anybody else or in any other language, the application will be considered as invalid.

(vi) Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/intimation charges

(vii) Have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of this round of Common Recruitment Process.

Notes: IBPS may send intimation regarding call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person. In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new email ID before applying on-line and must maintain that email account.

To Apply:

Step 1: Go on link: www.ibps.in and

Step 2: Click on the Home Page to open the link “CRP Clerks” and then click on the option “CLICK HERE TO APPLY ONLINE FOR CRP Clerks (CRP-Clerks-XII)” to open the On-Line Application Form.

Step3 : Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form. After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen.

Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password.

Note: An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed.

Step 4: Candidates are required to upload their:

– Photograph

– Signature

– Left Thumb Impression

– A hand written declaration as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of documents.

Note: (i) Candidates are advised to carefully fill in the online application themselves as no change in any of the data filled in the online application will be possible/ entertained.

(ii) Prior to submission of the online application candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if required.

(iii) No change is permitted after clicking on COMPLETE REGISTRATION Button.

(iv) Visually Impaired candidates are responsible for carefully verifying/ getting the details filled in, in the online application form properly verified and ensuring that the same are correct prior to submission as no change is possible after submission.

(v) The candidate should indicate in the online application the state to which he/she opts for provisional allotment on selection. The option once exercised will be irrevocable.

Step 5: Page will be redirected to fee payment and candidates can pay the application fee:

Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PWBD/EXSM candidates.
Rs. 850 /- (inclusive of GST) for all others

Note:- (i) Application Fees/ Intimation Charges Payable from 01.07.2022 to 21.07.2022 (Online payment), both dates inclusive.

(ii) The payment can be made by using:

Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro),

Credit Cards,

Internet Banking,

IMPS,

Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets by providing information as asked on the screen.

Step 6: Submit the application and take a print out of the e-receipt and online application.

Notes: After completing the procedure of applying on-line including payment of fees/intimation charges, the candidate should take a printout of the system generated on-line application form, ensure the particulars filled in are accurate and retain it along with Registration Number and Password for future reference. They should not send this printout to the IBPS/Banks.

IBPS Admit Card

The Centre, venue address, date and time for both Online Preliminary and Main examinations shall be intimated in the respective Call Letter.

Enter Registration Number and Password/Date of Birth & submit.

Admit card will appear on the screen. Get it printed.

No hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier.

Notes: –(i) The above tests except the Tests of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and For different opted states, medium of paper (other than English), go on table on page 8 & 9 of official notification.

(ii) Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Online Preliminary and Online Main Examination)

(iii) There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question
will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

(iv) If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

(v) Rough sheet(s) kept at each candidate desk will be used by candidate. After the end of examination candidates need to drop the rough sheets in the designated drop box as instructed at the venue.

(vi) MARKS OBTAINED IN THE ONLINE MAIN EXAMINATION ONLY WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR
FINAL MERIT LISTING.
