What is BITSAT?
The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani conducts the BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test) to offer admittance to students in various integrated first-degree programs like Engineering (BE), MSc and B.Pharm. The first BITSAT exam was conducted in 2005 when BITS, Pilani decided to scrap the old 12th based admission process. BITSAT scores, since then, have been used to admit candidates to BITS, Pilani and its sister campuses at Goa & Hyderabad. In 2017, 2 lakh candidates appeared for the BITSAT 2017 exam.

BITSAT 2018 Exam Date
BITSAT 2018 examination will be held from 16th May to 31st May 2018 where the candidates can choose any date, as per their preference, from among the 15 dates available.
BITSAT 2018 Seats
No Official announcement has been made with regards to the number of seats available at BITS Campuses.
Mode of Answering
The BITSAT exam is a Computer Based Online Exam (CBT).
Medium of Examination
BITSAT examination will be conducted in ENGLISH language only.
BITSAT 2018 Eligibility
Qualifying Exam
The Candidates must complete 12th or equivalent Examination from any recognized board or University with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their main subject and English as one of the compulsory subjects.
Students applying for B.Pharm courses can have Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects.
The candidate must pass their 12th or equivalent exam with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in PCM/PCB group. A score of 60% in each subject is also the requirement.
Year of Passing
The candidate must have appeared for the 12th or equivalent exam in the year 2018 or 2017. Candidates who have taken the QE before 2017 aren’t eligible.
Improvement of Marks
Candidates who have taken the 12th or equivalent exam again for improvement of performance can choose to present their improved marks provided they have reappeared for all subjects.
Number of Attempts
The maximum number of attempts is limited to 02 only.

How to Apply for BITSAT Exam?
BITSAT 2018 application portal is closed.
The application form will be available in digital formats only.
BITSAT 2018 Application Fee
Male Applicants have to pay Rs. 2950 towards BITSAT 2018 Application fee. However, an exemption of Rs. 500 will be observed for female applicants.
Candidates can choose to pay the fee amount via one of the 3 methods:
- Credit/Debit Cards.
- Cash payment at ICICI Bank Branches through the Pay-in-slip generated.
- NetBanking.
Application Procedure
Application portal for BITSAT 2018 is currently closed.
The Application involved following broad steps:
- Entering Personal Details.
- Payment of application fee.
- Printout of acknowledgment.
BITSAT Slot Booking
Applicants of BITSAT 2018 shall be given the liberty of selecting an exam date of their choice.
BITSAT 2018 slot booking (Exam date booking) shall commence from 23rd March 2018 and will remain open till 5th April 2018. Being the first-come-first-served service, candidates are highly recommended that they seal the test date of their choice as soon as possible.

BITSAT 2018 Hall Ticket
The BITSAT 2018 Hall tickets will be available online from the 12th April 2018 till 10th May 2018.
- Applicants would have to download their Admit Card from the official Website.
- The details of Exam Date, Time and Venue will be contained in the Admit Card along with the applicants’ name, DOB, roll number, etc.
- It is Mandatory for every candidate to enter the Examination Hall with their Admit Card, failing to do which they would not be allowed to sit for the exam under any circumstance.
BITSAT 2018 Exam Pattern
BITSAT 2018 test will be a computer based test (CBT) of 3-hour duration. A total of 150 questions will be displayed on the computer screen during these 3 hours.
Questions will be framed from the following 4 sections:

3 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. For each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
Unique Feature
If a candidate answers all the 150 questions (without skipping any) before the allotted time, he will be allowed to attempt 12 more questions (4 questions from each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology).
These 12 questions are designed to identify meritorious students from the crowd. Once the candidate enters this section, he/she cannot go back to the previous section of 150 questions.

BITSAT Exam Syllabus
The Syllabus of BITSAT 2018 Examination for the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology is the same as the NCERT syllabus for classes 11th and 12th.
BITSAT 2018 Results
After the completion of the test, the computer itself will declare the final score to the candidates based on the number of correct answers and the number of wrong answers.

Official BITSAT 2018 Results along with ranks will be announced online on the 20th June 2018.
