Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination – 2019 (BCECE 2019)

Introduction

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is a state-level combined entrance examination, conducted by the BCECE board. On clearing this examination, the candidate shall become eligible to apply for professional courses in Pharmacy, Engineering and Agriculture streams. Based on the BCECE score, the candidates are eligible to be admitted in the government as well as private Institutions of the state of Bihar. The examination is conducted in two stages and an aspirant has to pass both the stages, in order to qualify. The official notification of BCECE 2019 will be released most probably in the month of February, 2019.

The official notification (dated 05.06.2019) for BCECE 2019 has been rescheduled with altered dates.

The rescheduled date for admit card download is 17.06.2019. (link to be updated as soon as available)

The rescheduled exam dates are 29.06.2019 and 30.06.2019.

BCECE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria for BCECE 2019 Examination:

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Domicile: Candidates should have a domicile of Bihar. His/her parents must be the permanent resident of Bihar. Candidates whose parent works in the state but lives outside Bihar are also eligible to apply.

Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination or an equivalent exam from a recognised university or institution. Minimum 45% marks for general candidates and 40% for reserved categories are necessity for application.

Subjects: Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as their main subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology as their optional subject.

Age Limit: There is no age limit.

Apart from above criteria, following entrance exam must be taken due to cancellation of BCECE 2019 exam.

How to Apply for BCECE 2019 Examination?

Candidates will have to fill the application form of BCECE 2019 examination via online mode only. The application forms were available on the official website from 29th April 2019 to 20th May 2019.

Application Fees

The application fees for BCECE 2019 are tabulated below:

The fees can be paid online through:

• credit card/ debit card,
• net banking.

Fee can also be paid offline by taking a print-out of the e-challan and submitting it to any branch of Canara bank.

Documents to be Attached

Following documents are to be attached along with the application form for BCECE:

• Scanned / Soft copy passport size photograph (Less than 100KB)
• Scanned / Soft copy of signature (Less than 100KB)
• Aadhar Card (if available)

Application Procedure

The complete application procedure for BCECE 2019 is divided into 6 stages.

1. Registration.
2. On successful registration, the candidates will receive login details from the official portal of BCECE on their email. They need to login to their respective account and fill up the entries related to personal information.
3. Uploading Images.
4. Qualification and Address Details.
5. Payment of Application Fees.
6. Printing the Completed Application Form.

BCECE Admit Card

The admit cards shall be released on 17th June 2019. Candidates can download it from the official site.

BCECE Exam Pattern

The BCECE exam pattern used to be as follows.

Exam Duration: The duration of Stage-I examination is 135 minutes and that of Stage-II is 90 minutes.

Type of Questions: There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).

Total Marks: 200 marks will be allotted to each subject in Stage-I and 400 for each subject in stage-II.

Total Number of Questions: There will be 50 questions in each subject in Stage-I and 100 questions in each subject for Stage-II.

Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be allotted for each correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

BCECE 2019 Results

BCECE Results will be announced tentatively in the 3^rd week of July, 2019. Candidates can download it from the BCECE 2019 official website and keep a hard copy of it.

BCECE Counselling

• BCECE 2019 counselling will start from Last week of July, 2019.
• The candidates can attend the counselling on the basis of their order in the merit list. Candidates will be intimated about the process of counselling through the official website. They have to be present in the counselling for interview round.
• The counselling will be conducted through offline mode only.
• Candidates have to fill the choices for the college and branch as per their preference.
• On the basis of candidate’s filled choices and availability of seats, the seats will be allotted to the candidates after the verification of original documents.
