Introduction


AIIMS PG 2019 is a national-level PG medical entrance exam conducted by All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS, Delhi). The exam scores are used for granting admission to postgraduate courses such as M.D, M.S, M.D.S, D.M, and M.Ch in various AIIMS campuses across India. The exam is conducted twice a year, once in January, called “January Session” and next in July, called the “July Session”. The expected release date of official notification for AIIMS PG 2019 is around September 2018 for the January session and around March 2019 for the July session. 

AIIMS PG 2019 along with JIPMER PG 2019, PGIMER 2019 and NEET PG 2019, make the 04 important PG Medical entrance exams in India.

AIIMS PG 2019 Exam Date


The AIIMS PG 2019 examination will be held in the second week of November 2018 for the January session and in the first week of May for the July session.

Mode of Examination


The AIIMS PG entrance 2019 is a computer-based online mode of exam.

Medium of Examination


The AIIMS PG entrance 2019 will be conducted in English Language only.

Eligibility Criteria


The eligibility criteria for AIIMS PG entrance exam has been described below clause by clause.

 

Qualifying Exam


Candidates must have an MBBS degree for M.D/M.S, a BDS degree for M.D.S.

Aspirants of super-specialty courses i.e. D.M/M.Ch must possess a M.D/M.S/D.N.B degree from a University recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or Dental Council of India (DCI).

Candidates must secure at least 55% for general category and OBC and 50% for SC/ST in the requisite qualifying degrees.

Internship


For admission to M.D/M.S/M.D.S/M.Ch/D.M courses, candidates must complete 12 months of compulsory rotating internship or practical training on or before 30th January 2019.

AIIMS PG 2019 Application form


Aspirants can only apply online for AIIMS PG 2019 examination since no other mode of application is acceptable.

The application portal for AIIMS PG entrance 2019 will most probably open around the 2nd week of October 2018 for January session and around the 1st week for March 2019 for July session.

AIIMS PG 2019 Admit Card


The AIIMS PG 2019 Admit Card will be available by the 4th week of October 2018 for the January session and on the 4th week of April for the July session. The admit card will be made available through online mode only.

Exam Pattern


AIIMS PG 2019 entrance exam pattern has been described for different fields.

M.S/M.D


The duration of the AIIMS PG 2019 examination for MD/MS is 180 minutes  or 3-hours. There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and the candidates need to mark the correct option using the mouse.

A total of 200 marks is at stake for MD/MS. The total number of questions will also be 200.

AIIMS PG 2019 Answer Key


The AIIMS PG 2019 answer key will be uploaded on the official website after a few days of the date of the examination. The answer key can be downloaded by the candidates in order to tally their answers.

 

AIIMS PG Result 2019


AIIMS PG 2019 Results will be announced in the 3rd week of November 2018 for the January session and on the 2nd week of May for the July session.
