Introduction

Symbiosis Entrance Test or SET 2019 is a national-level entrance exam for UG admissions at Symbiosis International University and constituent colleges. The SET Exam is conducted by Symbiosis International University across India. Since the exam is used for admissions to various UG programs such as B.Tech, L.L.B, B.C.A, B.B.A, B.Sc. and B.A, the exam is divided into constituent exams:

• SET – Law as Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT),
• SET – Design test as Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED),
• SET – Engineering as SIT Engineering Entrance Exam (SITEEE) and
  
• SET – General.

The official notification for SET 2019 is out now. The last date to apply for the examination is 15th April 2019.

SET 2019 Important Dates

SET 2019 Exam Date

SET exam 2019 will be conducted on 04 May 2019

Mode of Answering

SET exam 2019 will be an online (computer-based) objective type test.

Medium of Examination

English has been prescribed as the only language for SET exam 2019.

• Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A) in Information technology
• Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A)
• Bachelor of Design (B.Des)
• Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication.
• Bachelor of Science in Economics.
• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)
• Bachelor of Science in Culinary arts.

For B.Tech, B.Sc (Medical Technology, Radio technology & Nursing) and B.A (Visual Arts & Photography) programs, appearing for SET exam is NOT Compulsory.

Eligibility Criteria for SET 2019

To apply for SET exam 2019, following clauses must be taken care of:

Nationality

Candidates from following categories are eligible to apply:

• Indian Citizens
• NRIs
• PIOs
• Foreign Nationals
• OCIs

Educational Qualifications

B.B.A/B.Sc (Economics)/B.A (Liberal Arts)/B.Sc (Culinary Arts)

Candidates must have cleared 10 + 2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category).

Law (L.L.B Programs)

Candidates must have cleared 10 + 2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category).

B.C.A/B.Des/B.A (Mass Communication)/B.B.A(IT)

Candidates must have cleared 10 + 2 or have an equivalent diploma (10 + 3) from a recognized board/university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category).

B.Tech

Candidates must have cleared 10 + 2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category).

The candidates must have cleared 10 + 2 with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects, along with Biology/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Technical Vocational subject.

Test – Fees

                                                                                                                                    Fees for one test  (for morning or afternoon shift)                               Rs 1750/-

Fees for two tests ( one morning session and one afternoon session) Rs 3500/-

The candidate may pay through: (i) Billdesk Payment Gateway                                        (ii) Easebuzz Payment Gateway  (iii) Indian Bank Payment Gateway and ( iv) Demand Draft.

For Payment mode through DD choose as ‘DD Payment’ in “Make Payment” Tab. Take a print of the payment advice form, fill in the DD Details, sign and send it along with the DD to the Symbiosis Test Secretariat [STS]  at following adress:

  SET Admit Card 2019

SET 2019 admit cards will be released on 20 April 2019

SET 2019 Exam Pattern

SET exam 2019 will be a 150-minutes long test. The paper will be of 200 marks.

It will be an objective type test with Multiple choice questions (MCQs). There is no negative marking for any incorrect response. This is valid for all SET exams.

The subjects/sections of the SET exam depend on the field chosen by the candidate.

SET – Engineering (SITEEE)

SET exam is not mandatory for B.Tech admissions at Symbiosis Institute of Technology. Candidates can also apply on the basis of JEE Main exam.

SET – Law (SLAT)

SET – General (SET)

SET Result 2019

SET result 2019 will be released during the 14  May 2019. Candidates must check their result online from the official website.

Selection Procedure

Depending upon the course applied for, the candidate might have to appear for another round of Writing Ability test (WAT) or Personal Interview (PI) before being admitted.

Candidates will be shortlisted for PI-WAT/ST-PI rounds based on their respective performance in SET exam.
