Introduction
State Bank of India (SBI) PO 2018 is a national level bank recruitment exam conducted by the State bank of India for recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO). The complete recruitment process involves 3 stages: Preliminary Test, Main Test and GD & PI round. Every candidate must qualify these 3 stages for the recruitment to complete. Candidates who will get selected via SBI PO exam 2018 are further trained in banking services before they begin serving State Bank of India. The official notification for the SBI PO 2018 was released on 21st April 2018.

SBI PO 2018 Exam Date
The Preliminary test for SBI PO 2018 will be conducted on the 1st, 7th and 8th 2018.
SBI PO Recruitment 2018 (Main) test will be conducted on 4th August 2018.
Candidates who clear both these rounds will be called for GD & PI between 24th September and 12th October 2018.
Mode of Answering
SBI PO 2018 Pre and Main both are online tests (Computer-based test). There will be no offline exam.
Medium of Examination
SBI PO 2018 will be a bilingual examination. Candidates can choose either Hindi or English as the medium to attempt their papers.
Expected Vacancies
As per the official notification from SBI, total of 2,000 will be at stake for this examination. Category wise vacancy break-up:
- General = 1,010
- OBC = 540
- SC = 300
- ST = 150
SBI PO 2018 Eligibility Criteria (As on 31st August 2018)
Candidate must have a graduate degree in any field from a recognized institution/university.
Students who are in Final year of their graduate program can also apply for SBI PO 2018 only if they can produce their graduation certificate on or before 31st August 2018.
SBI PO 2018 Age Limit
Candidate must have completed minimum 21 years of age before 1st April 2018 and must not be older than 30 years of age as on 1st April 2018.
Therefore, all aspirants born on or after 2nd April 1988 and on or before 1st April 1997 are eligible for the test.

SBI PO 2018 Application Form
SBI PO 2018 application forms were available till 13th May 2018.
Application Fee
The application fee SBI PO recruitment 2018 shall be ₹600 for General Category and ₹100 for SC/ST/PWD.
Application fees must be paid online via either of the following methods:
- Debit/Credit Cards.
- Cash Cards/Mobile wallets.
- Net Banking.
Documents to be uploaded
Following documents must be uploaded while applying online for SBI PO 2018:
- Scanned copy of recent Passport sized photo (200*300 px) of 2-50 Kb in size.
- Scanned copy of Signature with black ink on white paper of dimensions (140*160 px) and 10-20 Kb in size.
Steps of Applying
- Visit the official SBI PO 2018 recruitment portal and register.
- Fill up all the personal information asked while registration.
- Upload all the documents required as mentioned above. Please observe the correct dimensions and size while uploading the documents.
- Additional Details: Here, the candidate will be asked to fill details regarding any Criminal Records, and academic score related information. Fill-up this information as asked and proceed further.
- Pay the required amount of application fees.
- After the payment, you have to take print out of the application form which you filled up.
SBI PO 2018 Hall Tickets
SBI PO Hall tickets for all the examination stages must be downloaded online and the candidate must bring a printout to the examination center.
Preliminary test
Call letters for the SBI PO 2018 Preliminary test will be released on the 18th June 2018.
Main Test
Admit cards for SBI PO Main exam will be available for download from the 20th July 2018.
Group Discussion and Personal Interview
SBI PO 2018 call letters for GD and PI will be available for download from the 1st September 2018.
SBI PO 2018 Examination Pattern
SBI PO 2018 Examination will comprise of 3 parts:
- Preliminary Test
- Main Exam
- GD & PI.
Candidates who will successfully clear the Preliminary test will qualify for the main examination while the ones clearing the Main test will be called for GD & PI round.
Part I: Preliminary Test
The SBI PO 2018 Pre-Test will be a Objective type test. It will be a one-hour long test with 100 questions, 1 mark each.
It will be divided into 3 sections as mentioned below.
Section – 1: English Language (30 questions).
Section – 2: Quantitative Aptitude (35 questions).
Section – 3: Reasoning Ability (35 questions).
An incorrect response will deduct 0.25 marks.
In order to Qualify for the Main Test, candidates must clear the Preliminary Test first.
Part II: Main test
The main test for SBI PO 2018 will contain 2 sections:
- Objective test.
- Subjective test.
Objective Test
The objective test will be of 3-hours comprising of 155 questions. These 155 questions will carry 200 marks in total.
It is further divided into 4 sections:

The Subjective test for SBI PO 2018 will be a 30 minutes test. In this part, Candidates have to write Essay and Letter in the English language which will carry a total of 50 marks.
Group Discussion and Personal Interview
The Group Discussion and Personal Interview will carry a total of 20 marks and 30 marks respectively.
Results
The results of all the 3 stages will be declared online on official SBI PO 2018 website.
