Prohibited Items in SSC Exam Centres

Introduction:

SSC( Staff Selection Commission), a premier recruiting body of the country for various posts in public appointments like CGL, CHSL, Junior Engineers , Stenographers etc. has published a list of such items which have been prohibited in examination centres i.e.  these items are not allowed by the candidates appearing in examinations conducted by the SSC.

Prohibited Items:

1. Reading materials like:

Magazines, paper chits, newspapers, books, Plain Paper etc.

2. Stationary materials like:

Geometry / pencil box, pen, pencils,  sketch pen, markers, scale, rubber, clipboards, pouches of any material, etc.

3. Electronic gadgets such as:

(i) Mobile phones

(ii) Watches (including analog watches)

(iii) Bluetooth Devices

(iv) Pen Camera

(v) Vehicle Keys (including remote keys etc.

(vi) Button Camera

(vii) Hand-held Scanner

(viii) Head/Ear Phones

(ix) Storage Devices

(x) Radio Device, Remote Device

(xi) SIM Cards

(xii)Calculator (unless specified)

(xiii) Health Bands

(xiv) Any other Electronic. devices

4. Firearms (including bullets, pellets) or any Weapons.

5. Eatables (open or packed), Drinking Water Bottles.

6. Any other item, which could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices like Camera, Blue Tooth devices, etc. have also been prohibited.

7. Candidates should also avoid carrying

Metal items such as: Charms, Rings, Bracelet, Earrings, Nose-Pin, Chains, Necklace, Pendants, Badge, Belts, Broach, Hair Pin, Goggles, Hair Band, Mangal sutra, Payal etc being prohibited items.

Note : (i)   If candidates, found with these items, they will be subjected to separate frisking ,being prohibited items. They may also be asked to remove the same in case the object is found suspicious. Staff Selection Commission will not be responsible for the safe storage if carried by the candidates.

             (ii)  The above is not an exhaustive list but also includes all such items which may be believed to be used in malpractice or cheating.

             (iii) SSC reserves the right to prevent items from being taken in the examination venue that it believes may be used in cheating or malpractice.

(iv) Candidates who come in inebriated (drunken) state will not be allowed entry into the venue. Also candidates will not be allowed to chew tobacco, Pan Masala, Gutka, etc in the examination hall.
