NHAI , vide notification dated 28 May, 2021 has extended the last date of submission of the Application up to 02 Jun, 2021 for Deputy Manager (Technical).

(i) In light of the unusual pandemic situation due to Covid-19 and difficulties expressed by some of the candidates in obtaining and uploading the latest OBC ( NCL) / EWS certificates, issued for the year 2021-22, before the closing of on line application, the last date of submission of Application form has been extended to 02 Jun, 2021.

(ii) It has also been relaxed that candidates are now allowed to submit these certificates before final selection for the post. It has also been notified that in case, candidate fails to submit the latest OBC( NCL) / EWS certificates issued for the year 2021-22 before the final selection, candidature of the such candidates will not be considered for the post.

(iii) Further such candidates can upload submit OBC( NCL)/ EWS certificate issued for previous year.

(iv) Letter of corrigendum is attached here under for reference.

Introduction

National Highways Authority of India( NHAI) was set up by an act of the Parliament, NHAI Act, 1988 for the development, maintenance and management of national highways. It is under Ministry of Road Transport and High ways. It has been entrusted with National Highways Development Project, which alongwith other minor projects, has vested in it 50329 kms of National Highways for development, maintenance and management.

The total length of National Highways  (including expressways) in the country at present is 1,32,499 kms. While Highways/Expressways constitute only about 1.7% of the length of all roads but, it carry about 40% of the road traffic.

# NHAI reserve the right to invite candidate for interview, as per cut off of the respective category, subsequently to be decided by the NHAI.

 Notes : (i)  Aspiring candidates who  are appearing for the final year/semester Degree (in Civil Engineering), the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the post, are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, whose announcement of final year results of Degree by the Universities/Institutes are likely to be delayed this year due to COVID Pandemic, are allowed, as a special case, to produce the proof of passing of the Degree at a later stage and such proof of passing the requisite Degree should NOT be dated later than 31st December, 2021 under any circumstances.

(ii)    In case of their selection, their joining to the post in NHAI will be considered only after submission of proof of passing of Degree in Civil Engineering acquired on or before 31st December, 2021, failing which such candidates will not be considered.

(iii)     In case of candidates who are selected, but could not join NHAI due to pending receipt of proof of passing of Degree in Civil Engineering from their Universities/Institutes by the stipulated date i.e 31st December, 2021 or any other reason whatsoever, the period of delay in joining the post will be treated as delay on the part of the candidate(s) and their seniority, upon joining, will be regulated strictly in accordance with the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) guidelines, from time to time, on the subject.

Aspirant candidates can  apply on line mode only and there is no alternative mode is available.

1 Following documents and pre requisites are to be kept in readiness by the candidates before starting to apply on line as these are to be submitted:-

(a) Passport size Photograph: Scanned copy of colour passport size photograph in only ‘jpg / ‘jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB.

(b) Signature:  Scanned copy of signature in only ‘jpg / ‘jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB.

(c) Class 10^th certificate indicating date of birthonly in ‘jpg / ‘jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB.

(d) Caste Certificate in support of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS (as per prescribed format published by NHAI & can be down loaded through link given below) in only ‘jpg / ‘jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB.

Reservation certificates

(e)  Provisional/Degree in support of passing Degree in Civil Engineering in only ‘jpg / ‘jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB. In case of candidates appearing in the Final year Degree (Civil Engineering) exam this year, the proof of appearing in such exam also be uploaded.

(f) GATE Score Card in only ‘jpg / ‘jpeg’ or ‘png’ or ‘gif’ image types not exceeding 1 MB.

(g)  Mobile number ( to be kept live till end of selection process).

(h) A valid email address.

To Apply:

Step 1:   Go on link : https://www.nhai.gov.in/#/vacancies/current

Step 2:   On the appeared screen, go on serial of the post and press the button “Apply” on rightt hand side.

Step 3:  Fill up all the requisite information and upload the sought for documents.

Step 4:    Application Preview may be seen.

Step 5:   Edit the application if requiredand on satisfaction, submit the Application by clicking “Submit” button.  Last date of submission is 28/05/2021 (6:00 pm).

Step 6 :  After submission of Application Form, a “Unique Reference Number” alongwith details entered by the Applicant with subject “Application Acknowledgement” will be generated automatically.

Step7 : Automatically generated “Application Acknowledgement” would  be sent to the E-mail id provided by the Applicant.

Step 8: The applicant is required to keep a copy of “Application Acknowledgement” in safe custody for producing / submitting to NHAI along with supporting documents in respect of entries made by applicant with regard to his / her date of birth / educational qualification / SC/ST/OBC/EWS certificate (if applicable)/PwBD certificate/Other supporting documents (viz. experience certificate, NOC from the employer, etc.), if applicable. The applicant must ensure that the supporting documents uploaded with the online application are clearly legible.

NHAI Recruitment: Deupty Manager (Tech): Selection Procedure:

(i)    Selection shall be on  the basis of valid GATE score 2021 in Civil Engineering discipline as on closing date of advertisement. However, NHAI reserves the right to invite candidate for interview, as per cut off for respective category subsequently to be decided by NHAI.

(ii) The prescribed essential qualification i.e Degree in Civil Engineering  is the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be considered for appointment or interview.

(iii) In the event of large number of applications, NHAI will adopt short listing criteria to restrict the number of candidates for interaction / interview, if called, to a reasonable number by any method to be decided by the Selection Committee.
