Introduction
NCHMCT (National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology) annually conducts the Joint Entrance examination for Hotel management admissions at UG level. This national level exam is a gateway for aspirants seeking admission into UG courses for Hospitality and Hotel Administration. A candidate will become eligible for the 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management (including IHM New Delhi), one Public Sector Undertaking, 22 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management, 12 Food Craft Institutes, 14 Private Institutes of Hotel Management, and 2 SIHMs affiliated to NCHMCT after qualifying NCHMCT JEE 2019. The official notification for NCHMCT JEE 2020 has been released and portal is active.

NCHMCT JEE 2019 is expected to be conducted in the 27 April 2019.

NCHMCT 2019 is a Computer based Test ( CBT)
Medium of Examination
NCHMCT JEE Entrance exam 2019 is a bilingual test with questions available in both English and Hindi language, except for the section that tests the English Language skills of the candidate which will be asked only in English.
Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for NCHMCT JEE exam involves following clauses:
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 22 years as on 1st July 2019. There is an age relaxation of 3 years in the upper limit for SC/ST candidates (i.e., 25 years as on 1st July 2019).
Nationality
Indian nationals, and non-Indian nationals, both can apply for NCHMCT JEE 2019.
Educational qualification
Candidates must have cleared either of the qualifying examinations listed below with English as one of subjects:
10 + 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education of any recognized Central/State Board.
OR
Two-year Pre-University or Intermediate Examination conducted by a recognized institution.
OR
General Certificate Education Examination [Advanced (A) level] from Sri Lanka/London/Cambridge.
OR
The Examination for High School Certificate by the Cambridge University.
OR
Any Indian or foreign country’s Public School/ University/Board Examination recognized as equivalent to 10+2 pattern of Senior Secondary education by the Association of Indian Universities.
OR
NCVT and SCVT (of respective state) approved H.S.C. Vocational Examination.
OR
Senior Secondary School Examination (with a minimum of five subjects, including English) conducted by the National Open School.
Candidates appearing in the above examinations may also apply. Such candidates are required to submit the proof of having passed the qualifying examination at the time of counselling or at the time of admission or latest by 30th August 2019.
Physical Fitness
All qualified candidates will have to submit a physical fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner in the prescribed format at the time of admission.

The exam fee for NCHMCT JEE 2019 registrations for various categories is tabulated below:

Documents to be uploaded
The candidate must keep the following documents at hand while proceeding with the form:
- Scanned photograph (coloured) of the candidate – 50kb – JPG/JPEG Format.

Application Process
Candidates can apply online for NCHMCT JEE 2019 by following the given steps:
Registration
The first step in submission of the NCHMCT JEE 2019 application form is Registration. To register, the candidates will have to log on following link:
https://ntanchm.nic.in/ntanchm/root/Home.aspx?appFormId=NCHM19
Next, they need to go to the online registration page.
The candidates need to enter details such as their name, email ID, phone number, and so on.
Once registered, the candidate will receive a confirmation email. Now, the candidate will be able to begin filling up the form.
Uploading of Documents
The candidate will also be required to upload their photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
Before clicking the option to pay the fees, the candidate must ensure the details are error-free, as no corrections will be allowed after the fee submission.
Exam Fee Payment
The candidate will be redirected to the payment gateway where they can submit the fees.
Once the fee has been successfully submitted, the candidates are advised to download and print the NCHMCT JEE 2019 application form and keep it safe for future reference.
DIRECT ADMISSIONS:
There is a direct admission scheme for the rank holder Indian Nationals (not NRI or PIO)of the School board as per the following criteria and who need not to appear in the NCHM JEE.
“Each IHMs shall have three seats earmarked for 10+2 rank holders (one each for Arts, Science and Commerce stream) from among 1st to 200 rank holders from respective streams from
recognized Boards of school examination wherein up to 2 lacs candidates appear or 1st to 500 rank holders from Board of Examination where 2 lacs to 5 lacs candidates take examination.
The inter-se-merit from recognized School Boards of examination shall be at par”.
There is a different scheme for direct admission of Foreign Nationals (FN), Non ResidentIndians (NRI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO or Overseas Citizen of India) students. They also
need not to appear in the NCHM JEE. The detailed scheme, procedure for admission and feestructure is available in the scheme, available at www.nchm.nic.in/admission.
NCHMCT JEE 2019 Admit Card
Candidates who register successfully for the exam will be able to access their NCHMCT JEE 2019 admit cards online by providing their login credentials.
The admit card is one of the important documents that need to be carried to the exam centre.
After downloading the hall ticket, the candidates are advised to ensure all the details are correct. In case of a discrepancy, they should inform the JEE authorities by sending an email.
NCHMCT JEE 2019 Pattern
Duration
The exam duration will be three hours.

There will be objective type (MCQ) questions asked in the exam.

Marking Scheme
0.25 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer throughout the paper.
1 mark will be given for each correct answer in all sections except for Aptitude for Service Sector.
A graded-mark system will be followed for Aptitude for Service Sector in the following manner –
- the most appropriate answer will be awarded 1.00,
- the next appropriate answer will be awarded 0.75,
- the next to next appropriate answer will carry 0.50,
- the inappropriate answer shall carry negative mark of 0.25.

NCHMCT JEE 2019 Result
Candidates can check the NCHMCT JEE 2019. Result has been declared. Go on link RESULT . The candidates can view their result by visiting the official website. The candidates are advised to take a print out of the result for future reference.
Counselling
The candidates will be called for counselling based on their rank in the NCHMCT JEE 2019 merit list. Once results are published, the candidate will need to register for the counselling process. Once registered, the candidate can submit their choices online. The counselling will be conducted in different offline rounds. The candidate will be required to pay a “seat acceptance fee” [Rs. 39000/- (1st semester fees) + Rs. 1000/- (counselling charges)] while registering for the counselling online.
