MES (Military Engineer Services) is a premier construction agency under ministry of Defence, which provides engineering services to all the three armed forces of the country. It is one of the largest construction and maintainace agency in India in Government sector. It has almost 600 stations on main land and islands of the country spreaded over entire length and breadth of India. MES is a department having composite component of both army personnel and civilians.
Department has published the recruitment advertisement to fill up the vacancies of Supervisor ( B/S) and Draughtsman. On line applications are invited by Office of Chief Engineer, Pune Zone, Pune.

Pay Scale of the Post:
1 Supervisor (B/S) : Pay Matrix Level 6 ( Rs 35400/- 112400/-) as per 7th Pay Commission.
2 Draughtsman : Pay Matrix Level 6 ( Rs 35400/- 112400/-) as per 7th Pay Commission.
Notes : (i) All other allowances as entitled to Central Government Employee (as per CCS Rules) like DA,HRA, CCA etc. are admissible.
(ii) Leave. LTC and CGHS facility are also admissible.
MES Supervisor (B/S) & Draughtsman Recruitment Exam Date:
Written Exam (OMR based) will be conducted on 16/05/2021 20/06/201 (Sunday) (Time : 10:00 to 12:00 IST)
MES Supervisor (B/S) & Draughtsman Exam Eligibility Criteria:
All the eligibility conditions will be determined from the crucial date given in advertisement i.e. 12/04/2021
(A) Nationality, candidate must be either:
(a) Indian citizen, or
(b) Subject of Bhutan,or
© Subject of Nepal , or
(d) Tibetan refugees who came over to India with the intention of permanently settling in India before 1st January 1962, or
(e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, Burma and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire, The United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),, Vietnam and Ethiopia with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note : (i) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
(ii) A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after, the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him/her by the Government of India.
(B) Essential and Other Qualifications ( EOQs): candidates must have completed EOQ as on crucial date of eligibility.
(C) Medical Fitness: Candidate must be in good physical and mental health and free from any physical deformity which may interfere in efficient discharge of duties. Provisionally selected candidates will be subjected to amedical examination as decided by the competent authority, as mentioned in appointment letter. PwD candidates will be considered in terms of extant rules as in force of GoI.
(D) No Objection Certificate ( NOC): Applicats serving in Goverment, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies , Armed forces and departmental candidates must apply through proper channel. Candidate must obtain NOC at the appropriate time from the present employer. Application submitted without NOC will be treated provisional. NOC is mandated to be submitted at the time of documents verification, if short listed.
Note : Candidates applying for the above posts must ensure that they are meeting all the eligibility criteria.
Age Limit ( As on12/04/2021)
Age of the aspirant candidate must lie between 18 years and 30 years as on crucial date of eligibility i.e. 12/04/2021.
Note : The upper age limit is relaxable in case of candidates of category SC/ ST/OBC PwD/Ex- serviceman/ widow/ divorced women/ women judicially separated and not remarried, central Government civilian employee/ disabled defence services personnel/Persons domiciled in J&K state between period 31/03/1988 to 31/03/2003 etc as per extant rules of Govt of India.

Essential Qualification and Experience (As on12/04/2021)
1 For Draughtsman:.
Essential: Must have passed 03 years Diploma in Architecture Assistantship from any recognized Institution.
Desirable: One year experience of Auto CAD, printing and lamination machine, operation of zerox machine.
2 Supervisor (B/S):
(A) (i) Master’s Degree with Commerce or Economics or Statistics/ Business Studies or Public Administration from recognized university or Institute.
(ii) 01Year experience of handling stores & keeping account in a store or in a concern of Central or state Government or statutory or Autonomous Organisation or PSU or University or any recognized Institute or Bank or in a private sector organization listed in Stock exchange of India.
OR
(iii) Bachelor’s Degree with Commerce or Economics or Statistics/ Business Studies or Public Administration as a subject from recognized university or Institute.
(iv) Diploma in Materials Management or Warehousing Management or purchasing or Logistics or Public procurement from recognized university/ Institute.
(v) 02 Years experience of handling stores & keeping account in a store or in a concern of Central or state Government or statutory or Autonomous Organisation or PSU or University or any recognized Institute or Bank or in a private sector organization listed in Stock exchange of India.
Notes: (i) Where experience is required, such experience must be acquired by the candidates after completion of the educational qualification as specified for the concerned post. Internship training, research experience gained during educational qualification will not be counted towards experience .
(ii) Experience(s) certificate(s) in the prescribed Performa from the head(s) of organization(/ Department(s) for entire experience claimed must clearly mentioning the duration of employment (i.e. date, month and year) indicating basic and consolidated pay in the post(s) with duration(s). The experience certificate(s) must also specify/mention the duration(s) and duties performed in each post(s) and performance(s) thereof in each post(s). Experience certificate must be issued in prescribed format relevant to post.
(iii) Candidates who have not acquired the required qualification on the crucial date i.e. 12/04/2021 should not apply against these advertised vacancies.
(iv) Ex- serviceman who have done various courses from the Armed forces and which are certified by the competent authority as equivalent qualification can also apply.
Posting Liability:
Selected candidates have all India service and field liability.

1 Following documents and pre requisites are to be kept in readiness by the candidates before starting to apply on line:-

(vi) Identity proof ( Adhar card/ e Adhar card print out/ Driving licence/ Voter ID / Pass port/ original 10th certificate or equivalent certificate etc. ( These are required to be carried in examination and documents verification.
(vii) Correspondences and Permanent address active during entire selection process.
(viii) Proof of all the acquired qualifications as on date of eligibility i.e. 12/04/2021.
Note : (i) No request for change of Mobile number and email Id will be entertained at any stage.
It is advised to keep sufficient number of copies of the same photograph which has been uploaded at the time of online application as, these photographs would be required for further selection process.

Step 11 : After successful payment you can upload your color scanned photograph and signature. After successful upload, the process of online application will be completed.
Step 12 : Print the registration form that ensure application has been successfully registered. Registration Slip, email confirming of registration, and proof of payment of application fees should be retained by the applicant for all future correspondence with MES.
MES Supervisor (B/S) & Draughtsman Exam Exam Pattern
Supervisor (B/S) & Draughtsman Exam Exam will be omr based.The pattern of the preliminary test is tabulated below:-

Notes : (i) There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. This is to be kept in mind while answering.
(ii) For detailed syllabus, refer para 4.3 of the advertisement.
(iii) Marks obtained in OMR sheet will be used for final merit.
(iv) In the question paper, where ever necessary, metric system will be used.
(v) There will be no provision of rechecking/ re evaluation of the answer sheet. No correspondences for this will be entertained.
(vi) Carbon copy of the OMR sheet will be preserved by the candidate which will be required at the time of documents verification of the shortlisted candidates.

Minimum Passing marks:
Following minimum cut off marks will be considered for preparation of merit list:-
(i) Un–Reserved/EWS 50%
(ii) SC/ ST/ OBC 40%
Note : Further, if sufficient candidates are not available for preparation of merit list for document verification of particular category, MES reserve the right to relax the criteria and interchange the vacancy position as per Government Rules.

Admit Card:
(i) Admit card would be made available 02 weeks prior to examination. It would be down loaded from official web site of the department: https://mes.gov.in/
(ii) Admit card would not be sent by post.
(iii) Candidate must print the admit card, preferably color and has to carry it to examination centre along with original photo Id ( mentioned in Application form).
(iv) Department can change examination city (other than selected by the candidate) due to operational constraints.
(vi) No request for change of examination city ( once allotted) will be entertained.
