3.Jobs in JIPMER: Examination Pattern
For all the posts mentioned above, there will be a mandatory written examination (Computer-based test) to access the candidate’s knowledge on related subjects as well as general knowledge. In addition to this, there will be skill-based tests for a few posts which will be described in detail in this section.

Note : The test will be for a total of 100 MCQs with each question carrying 4 marks and there will be a negative mark of -1 for each wrong answer. The total duration of the test is 90 minutes.
The skilled-based test is applicable for 4 posts namely which are described below.
Nursing Officer:
The test will be used to assess the performance of the candidate on the usage of various procedures and instruments, and 4 to 8 stations will be created at the test center for the same. The candidate has to clear this test to be selected for the post.
Medical Laboratory Technologist:
Similar to the nursing officer, the skill test is used to identify the on-field performance of the lab technologist, and is mandatory to clear to be selected for the post.
Stenographer Grade-II:
The candidates will have to take a typing test, wherein they will have to type words in English at the speed of 80 words per minute. The dictation will be given for 10 minutes and the content has to be transcribed onto the computer in 50 minutes.
Junior Administrative Assistant:
There are 2 parts to the skill test for this particular post.
Part A: This consists of typing, where the candidates have to type words in English at a speed of 35 w.p.m or in Hindi at 30 w.p.m.
Part B: The candidates have to create a database or tables in excel as per specific instructions given in the question paper, with maximum accuracy and by using correct formulas in excel.
