Introduction

JIPMER 2019 is a (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research) national-level UG medical entrance examination for aspirants seeking admission in MBBS course at JIPMER, Puducherry campus and Karaikal campus. JIPMER, Puducherry campus is the main campus. JIPMER is the one of the medical college in India, other than AIIMS, New Delhi, that conducts a separate medical entrance exam for UG & PG courses and NEET UG (for admission to all other medical and dental colleges in India – both government and in private sector) being the other two.  . The official notification for JIPMER MBBS 2019 has already been released on 06 March 2019.

JIPMER MBBS 2019, AIIMS 2019 and NEET 2019 are the only 03 UG medical entrance exams in India.

Puducherry Campus : 150

Karaikal Campus :       50

Around 2 lakh candidates appear for this test every year for admission of 200 seats

JIPMER 2019 Exam Date

JIPMER 2019 shall be conducted on 2nd June 2019 in 2 shifts as follows:

Morning Shift:- 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM

Afternoon Shift :- 03.00 PM to 05.30 PM

Mode of Answering

JIPMER MBBS 2019 is conducted in an online mode as a Computer Based Test with Multiple Choice Questions.

Medium of Examination

For JIPMER UG 2019, English has been prescribed as the only medium of examination.

Eligibility Criteria for JIPMER 2019

Nationality

Indian National, NRI (Non-resident Indian) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

The candidates must be at least 17 years old on or before 31^st December 2019.

In other words, he/she should be born on or before 1st Jan 2003.

There is no upper age limit.

Educational qualification

The candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English from any recognized board.

The candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology (50% in case of OBC/SC/ST/PH candidates)

The online application forms were available for download till 12th April 2019.

• Scanned passport size colour photograph,
• Scanned signature

Application Procedure

Online Application Form

In order to apply online for JIPMER MBBS 2019, following steps must be followed on the candidate’s behalf:

1. Registration.
2. Post successful registration, logging in with details received.
3. Click “go to application form”, to fill the application form.
4. Payment of JIPMER MBBS 2019 Application Fee.
5. Uploading necessary documents.
6. Printing the Completed Application Form

Admit Cards for JIPMER MBBS 2019  are available for the exam which is to be held on June 2, 2019.

JIPMER MBBS Admissions 2019 syllabus comprises of the prescribed syllabus for 11th & 12th standard by CBSE & other state boards.

JIPMER 2019 Exam Pattern

JIPMER MBBS entrance exam for 2019 will be a two and a half hours (150 minutes) long test. 

A total of 200 Multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be presented in this UG medical entrance exam.

All the questions will be of objective type (MCQ) and a total of 800 marks will be at stake in the exam.

Following sections will form the question paper for JIPMER entrance exams 2019.

Marking Scheme

The candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.

JIPMER 2019 Results

Students, who will successfully take the test, will be able to check the JIPMER MBBS 2019 Result in the form of a Merit List to be published on or Before 21st June 2019.

Counselling

Candidates will be called for counselling based on the JIPMER merit list. Counselling will be conducted in offline mode at JIPMER, Puducherry campus.

The registered candidate’s biometric fingerprint, photo and original certificates will be verified. In case of a mismatch, the candidate will NOT be allowed to attend the counselling, and the institution can proceed with legal action as is deemed fit. The counselling will be conducted in four rounds.
