Introduction


IBPS or the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a government body established in 1975 at Mumbai, Maharashtra. The body is responsible for recruitment in Clerical & Officer division at all nationalized banks in India (except SBI). IBPS annually conducts a national-level test for clerical recruitment at various nationalized banks in India. The IBPS Clerk recruitment involves 2 stages of tests – Preliminary & Main before finally being absorbed for the post. IBPS Clerk 2018 official notification is expected to release in the 4th week of August 2018.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Vacancies


As of now, no official notification has been released with regards to IBPS Clerk 2018 recruitment.

However, in 2017, 7,884 (approx) vacancies were released.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Exam Date


The IBPS Clerk 2018 (Preliminary) examination will be conducted on the 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th December 2018.

The main exam will be conducted on 20th January 2019.

Mode of Answering


IBPS Clerk 2018 (both Preliminary & Main test) will be computer-based test (CBT).

Medium of Examination


IBPS Clerk 2018 (both preliminary & Main) will be conducted in both HINDI & ENGLISH except for English language skill test.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Eligibility Criteria


Nationality


Aspirants must hold ensure either of the following nationalities:

  • Citizenship of India or
  • subject of Bhutan or Nepal or
  • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Age Limit (1st Sept 2018)


IBPS Clerk 2018 Age limit must lie between 20 years and 28 years. Candidate must be born on or after 2nd Sept 1990 and before 1st Sept 1998.

Age relaxations offered under various categories are as follows:

Widows/divorced women/women legally separated but not remarried 9 years

Academic Qualification (As on September 2018)


Applicants must have graduated from any recognized university or institute.

It is mandatory for the candidates to be possessing original degree at the time of registration for the IBPS Clerk 2018 exam.

In addition to that, candidates must have the knowledge of computer system and should be able to operate its functioning.

Candidates must have proficiency in the official language of the state or the union territory where the applicant has applied to work for.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Application Form


IBPS Clerk 2018 Application forms are yet to be released. 

The application form must be filled online and will be available on the official website of IBPS.

IBPS Clerk 2018 official notification will be released in the last week of August 2018.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Fee


IBPS Clerk 2018 fee is Rs. 600 for candidates of general category and Rs. 100 for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/EXSM category.

Candidates are required to pay the application fee through the medium of:

  1. Credit card/Debit card or
  2. Net banking.
  3. IMPS.
  4. Mobile Wallets.

Photograph & Signature Documents


  • Passport-sized colored photograph – 200 X 230 in dimensions – 20kb – 50Kb – JPEG/JPG format.
  • Scanned Signature in Black-ink – 140 X 60 pixels – 10kb-30kb – JPEG/JPG format.

IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2018 


IBPS Clerk 2018 will be a 2-stage recruitment process with a Preliminary & Main examination.

Candidates successfully qualifying the Preliminary & Main Examination will be absorbed as Clerk in various nationalized banks.

Preliminary Test 


The IBPS Clerk 2018 (Preliminary) test will be 1-hour long with the test being divided into 3 sections. There will be 100 MCQs of 1 mark each being presented in this duration. The pattern of the preliminary test is tabulated below.

For every incorrect answer, a deduction of 0.25 marks will be made.

Main Examination


IBPS Clerk 2018 (Main Exam) shall have 190 MCQs spread over 4 sections/subjects. The duration of this test will be 160 minutes or 2 hours & 40 mins. A specific amount of time shall be allotted to each section.

Similar to the Preliminary Test, a negative marking of 0.25 is observed for every wrong answer.

Admit Card


The Admit Card for IBPS Clerk 2018 examination will be available on the official website of IBPS. The admit card for the preliminary examination will be released in November 2018.

The admit card for main examination shall be released December 2018.

IBPS Clerk 2018 Answer Key


IBPS Clerk 2018 Answer key will be released by the authorities of Institute of Banking Personnel Selection Board at least 3 days after the examination.

Cut Off


Cut off are the passing marks needed by candidates to qualify the examination. On the basis of the marks obtained, the candidates will be shortlisted for further selection procedure. The authorities will make the cut off list available once the examination has been conducted.

Results


The results for the prelims and main examination will be available on the official website of IBPS. The IBPS Clerk 2018 (Preliminary) exam results will be released in the 1st week of December 2018.

The final result, however, will be released in the 1st week of March 2019.
