CAT Application Form 2018
Currently, no notification has been released with regards to CAT 2018.
Like other entrance exams, CAT application form 2018 will also be completely ONLINE. No offline forms will be accepted.
CAT 2018 Application Fee
Based on previous year’s CAT examination, the application fee is expected to be Rs. 1,800 for general category students & Rs. 900 for SC/ST/PWD students.

The application fee can be paid through:
- Credit Card/Debit Card or
Documents to be Uploaded
- Colored Photograph – 35mm x 45 mm; JPG/JPEG/PNG format; Size: Less than 80 KB.
- Signature – 80 mm x 35 mm; JPG/JPEG/PNG format; Size: Less than 80 KB.
- Caste or Disability certificate (PDF format) in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
How to Apply?
The CAT application form 2018 is yet to be released. However, following steps must be followed in order to apply.
The candidate has to register on the official CAT website http://iimcat.ac.in by providing his/her e-mail ID and mobile number. The candidate shall receive the auto-generated User ID and password on the registered e-mail ID and mobile number.
The candidate then needs to fill his/her personal, academic and work experience details asked in the application form.
The candidate needs to mention the choice of IIMs and programs next.
Uploading of Documents
He/she then has to upload the scanned signature, photograph and caste/disability certificate (if applicable), as per the specifications mentioned above.
Application Fee Payment
The candidate then needs to make the final payment in any of the modes mentioned above.
Printing the Completed Form
The final step is downloading and printing the CAT registration confirmation page.
There is a correction window to edit one’s details that generally opens in the last week of September.
Application to the IIMs is done at the CAT registration stage itself. For the institutes other than IIMs which use CAT score, one has to apply separately for each, during their respective application windows.
