Introduction

BITSAT (BITS Aptitude Test) 2019 is a national level exam conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani for admissions to all integrated First-Degree programmes such as MSc, B.Pharm, and Engineering (BE). BITSAT 2019 scores are considered for “BITS admission 2019” at BITS, Pilani and other campuses at Hyderabad and Goa. BITSAT 2019 official notification will be published tentatively in the 2nd week of December 2018. BITSAT is one of the premier engineering entrance exams in India largely due to the quintessential engineering colleges involved with it.

BITSAT 2019 Important Dates 

Mode of Answering

BITSAT exam 2019 is online (computer-based test). There is no offline (pen-paper) based test.

BITSAT 2019 Exam Date

BITSAT 2019 was conducted tentatively during the 16th to 26th May 2019.

Medium of Examination

English will be the only available medium of Question papers for BITS entrance exam 2019.

BITSAT 2019 Eligibility 

Number of Attempts

You can attempt for BITSAT only twice.

Year of Passing

Students appearing for 12^th exam in 2019 or who have passed the examination in 2018 are eligible for BITS entrance exam 2019. Here, only latest performance will be counted in case of multiple attempts in 12^th standard boards. Students who have appeared for 12^th examination in 2017 or earlier are not eligible.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates must have given 12^th examination from a recognized central or state board with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English as a compulsory subject. However, for admission to B.Pharm, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are required but students with Maths group can also apply.

An aggregate of 75% marks is required for Physics, Chemistry and Maths/Biology. Candidate must have 60% marks in each subject for the above-mentioned groups.

BITS has a policy of granting direct admission to respective Board toppers in 12^th examination.

BITSAT 2019 Application Form

BITSAT 2019 application was released on 4th January 2019 and it remained open until 31st March 2019.

Registration for BITSAT 2019 can be done via digital means only.

Application Fee

BITSAT 2019 application fees for male candidates will be ₹2950 while for a female it will be ₹2450.

Candidates can pay the fees via following modes:

• Netbanking
• Credit/Debit cards
• Cash payment by Pay-in-slip generated at the time of filling registration form via ICICI bank.
• PayTM wallets

Documents to be uploaded

Candidates applying for BITSAT 2019  have to upload following documents while registration.

• Scanned Image of Photograph – Size 4Kb-50Kb.
• Scanned Image of Signature – Size 1Kb-30Kb.

Steps of applying

Candidates must go through these steps in order to complete BITSAT 2019 registration.

• Go to BITSAT official website 2019 and fill the registration form.
• Upload the documents required (as mentioned above).
• Pay the mentioned amount via PayTM, Credit/Debit cards.
• If you choose to pay via cash with Pay-in-slip, please visit any ICICI Bank’s branch and pay the amount.
• Note down the acknowledgment
• Once you have done the payment you can verify its status here by entering application number, Gender, and
• It may take up to 4-5 working days for status to be updated if opt for paying via ICICI bank.

BITSAT 2019 Slot Booking

Applicants of BITSAT 2018 shall be given the liberty of selecting an exam date of their choice.

BITSAT 2019 slot booking (Exam date booking) shall commence from 23rd March 2018 and will remain open till 5th April 2018. Being the first-come-first-served service, candidates are highly recommended that they seal the test date of their choice as soon as possible.

BITSAT 2019 Admit Card

BITSAT 2019 admit cards were available for download on the official website during 12th April to 13th May 2019.

Applicants must download their Hall-ticket and carry a printout with them. Without admit cards, you won’t be allowed to enter the examination center.

BITSAT 2019 Exam Pattern

BITSAT 2019 is a 3 hour long Computer-based test (CBT). There are total 4 sections as mentioned below.

A total of 150 Multiple Choice Questions will be asked.

Candidate will get a +3 for each correct answer and a -1 for an incorrect response. There is no time limit on attempting any section. The response can be changed after answering any question from these sections. Total of 450 marks is at stake.

Bonus Section

Once 150 questions are answered without skipping any of the questions before the allotted time frame, 12 more questions will appear (4 each of main subjects Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology). If any candidate opts for answering these 12 questions they cannot go back to change response to previous 150 questions. These questions will carry negative marks for an incorrect response just like the previous sections.

BITSAT 2019 Results

BITSAT 2019 result has been published in the month of June 2019.

The result will be available online only. Candidates must check their results on BITSAT official website.
