COMEDK UGET 2022 for Engineering

What is COMEDK ?

COMEDK stands for Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental colleges of Karnataka. COMEDK (‘consortium’ means “an association”) is a private body that conducts entrance exam for admission to the private Engineering Colleges in Karnataka. Both UG and PG admissions take place through COMEDK in Karnataka. The KPCF (Karnataka Professional Colleges foundation Trust) and KUPECA (Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association) has given this important responsibility to COMEDK of conducting entrance tests for admissions to their member colleges.

This article focuses on COMEDK UGET 2022 for Engineering Colleges.

COMEDK UGET

COMEDK UGET is a common entrance test conducted by COMEDK for admission to private engineering colleges of Karnataka state at Undergraduate level. Before 2016, another exam called uni-gauge was conducted for admission to 15 private universities of Karnataka state. But in 2016, Uni-Gauge was combined with COMEDK UGET making admissions a single window process. Every year the exam is taken by over 1 lakh + students from various states of the country. In 2016, over 150 private engineering colleges in Karnataka state used COMEDK UGET scores for admissions.

Type and Medium of Examination

COMEDK UGET 2022 will be a computer based test (Online exam). The language of question paper would be ENGLISH.

Date of Examination

COMEDK UGET 2022 will be held on: 

19 June, 2022 (Sunday)

Morning Session/slot: 9:00 AM to 12 Noon

Afternoon Session/slot: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

Eligibility Criterion

 Aspirant candidates from all over the country are eligible for the UGET 2022 entrance examination. Following eligibility criteria should be met:-

(a) Qualifying Examination: Applicant should have Second PUC or passed the 10+2 exam (Qualifying exam/12^th standard) with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC of Karnataka State) in PCM put together.

(b) Subjects: Applicant’s curriculum must include  Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Bio Technology or Biology or Computer Science or Electronics as one of the optional subjects. 

Notes:  (i) Candidate should have passed these subjects individually. 

           (ii) Changes, if any, in the eligibility criteria by the AICTE/VTU will be adopted.

          (iii) Diploma candidates are not eligible to take the Entrance Test as there are no lateral entry admissions.

        (iv) Rank Card will be generated only for those candidates who become eligible for admission to under Graduate Courses as per the regulations of AICTE / VTU.

Applying for COMEDK UGET 2022.

Application Fee

Application fee can only be paid through online mode. 

1. Net Banking.
2. Credit Card/Debit Card.

The application fee for COMDEK UGET 2022 for engineering shall be Rs 1800+               * Convenience charge/fee as applicable.

Note: * Convenience fee will be between 1.05% and 1.15% of transaction amount (depending on the card) + GST on convenience charge as applicable.

         *Convenience fee will be between Rs 18 and Rs 23 (may vary from bank to bank) + GST on convenience charge as applicable.

To Apply

The application portal for COMEDK UGET 2022 went online on 14/03/2022. Candidates can apply for the UGET 2022 exam up to 02/05/2022 after which the portal will be shut down. 

Applying for COMDEK UGET 2022 comprises 2 activities:

1. Registration Process.
2. Application Making.

Registration Process

Step 1 : Follow the link  https://cdn.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/1022/75897/Registration.html

Step 2: Upon following the above link, candidates will be taken directly to the  registration page containing Instructions.

Step 3:  Read  the Instructions carefully & click the Close button.

Step 4 : A new page will open & wherein, provide your personal details such as Name, DOB, email, Mobile Number and Applicant’s ID Proof.

1. In the “Applicant Unique ID Proof” field, an applicant has to select an ID that he/she will bring in original at the exam center and can produce at the time of counseling. Applicant has to upload the scanned copy of the same in the application form. Accepted ID proofs include:

1. Driving License.
2. Aadhar card.
3. PAN card.
4. Voter ID.
5. School/college photo ID.
6. Certificate issued by Head of institution last studied in.

 Step 5 : After entering the valid details, click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 6 : Upon successful submission of the registration form, the candidate will receive an e-mail and SMS comprising of User Name and password for future logins and references.

Documents to be kept ready before filling application form

1. Scanned copy of Applicant’s ID Proof selected during Registration Process.
2. Scanned copies of Applicant’s photograph and signature.
3. Scanned copy of applicant’s Father/Guardian’s signature.

Photograph Specifications

• File format: JPEG.
• File size: less than or equal to 80 kb.
• Photo dimensions: 30mm x 45mm.
• Photo type: Colored PP size.

Signature Specifications

• File format: JPEG.
• File size: less than or equal to 80 kb.
• Dimensions: 35mm x 80 mm.
• Signature type: with black ink on white paper.

Application Form

After successful registration for COMEDK UGET 2022, complete the application by following the given steps: 

Step 1 : Go on link https://cdn.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/1022/75897/login.html
Step 2 :  Login with your User ID and Password
Step 3 : Complete your application form.
Step 4 : Click on “Preview” and recheck all details
Step 5 : Click on “Submit” and make payment.
Step 6: Re-login to application form and check status of your application form. Your application form should show “Your application is successfully submitted .Your payment is successful”.

Test Center:Select the test centers of your choice. List of test centers available can be seen on https://www.unigauge.com/engineering-entrance-exam/

 Submit the completed application form and take a print out of the same for future references.

Candidates have to take a printout of the completed application form and have it attested by the Head of institution last studied in. Do not post this attested copy to the COMEDK office. This attested copy will be required at the time of counseling.

Admit Card

Candidates can download the admit card for COMEDK UGET 2022 from 06 June, 2022. 

COMEDK will not send admit cards or TAT to any candidate via post. All admit cards must be downloaded from COMEDK website only. 

Examination Pattern And Timings

COMEDK UGET 2022 comprises of two papers. These two papers are :

1. Physics       60 MCQ
2.  Chemistry  60 MCQ
3. Mathematics 60 MCQ
4.  Total of 180 Marks

COMDEK UGET 2022 will be held in 2 shifts:

19 June, 2022 (Sunday)

Morning Session/slot: 9:00 AM to 12 Noon 

Afternoon Session/slot: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM

For each correct answer, the candidate would be awarded 1 mark.

There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.

Results

COMEDK UGET 2022 results will be declared in the 1st week of July, 2022. Test Score cards made available online to the candidates from 05 July, 2022.

COMEDK will not send any rank card to applicant’s home under any circumstances.
