Introduction

WBJEE 2019 entrance examination is organized by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. WBJEE is a state level examination. It offers admission to undergraduate courses in Pharmacy, Architecture, and Engineering in University, Government colleges, and Private Colleges. WBJEE 2019 gives entrance based on the WBJEE score in the state of West Bengal. The official notification for WBJEE 2019 is expected to be released by the 3^rd week of August 2018.

Important Dates

WBJEE 2019 Exam Date

WBJEE 2019 is expected to be conducted on 26 May 2019.

Mode of Answering

WBJEE 2019 will be conducted in offline mode (OMR-based).

Medium of Examination

WBJEE 2019 will be conducted in English only.

WBJEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

• Candidate should be a citizen of India.

Qualifying Examination

• Applicants must have qualified 10+2 level qualifying exam or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

For Engineering:

• Physics and Mathematics along with one of Biotechnology/Chemistry/Biology/Computer Application /Computer Science as the compulsory subjects.
• The applicants should have obtained a total of 45% in all three subjects taken together (40% for reserved categories) and English with minimum 30% marks.

For Pharmacy:

• Physics and Chemistry along with one of Biotechnology/Chemistry/Biology/Computer Application /Computer Science as the compulsory subjects.
• The applicants should have obtained a total of 45% in all three subjects taken together (40% for reserved categories).

  Age

• The candidates should not be less than 17 years old as on 31 Dec 2019. There is no upper age limit for WBJEE 2019.
• For Marine Engineering course, the upper age limit will be 25 Years as on 31.12.2019.

WBJEE 2019 Application Form

The WBJEE 2019 application form can only be filled via online mode. The application portal is currently closed. The WBJEE 2019 application form is expected to be released in the 3^rd week of December 2018.

Application Fee

• The application fee is Rs. 500 (plus bank service charges).
• The fee can be done through online mode (Credit / Debit card, Net banking) as well as through offline mode (by e-Challan of Allahabad bank).

Documents to be Uploaded

The following documents are required for filling the WBJEE 2019 application form:

• Scanned Photograph – JPG/JPEG – 3kB to 100 kb – 4cm x 3 cm
• Scanned Signature – JPG/JPEG – 3 kB to 30 kB – 4 cm x 1.5 cm

Steps for Applying

The broad steps for filling the WBJEE 2019 application form are as below:

Step 1: WBJEE 2019 Application Form – Fill in the required fields (personal details, correspondence details, academic details) accurately.

Step 2: Uploading the Photograph and Signature – Upload the documents in the specified format.

Step 3: Payment of WBJEE 2019 Application Fee – Pay the fee using any of the methods mentioned above.

Step 4: WBJEE 2019 Application form final stage – Take a printout of the application form and retain it for future reference.

WBJEE Admit Card 2019

Applicants who will successfully apply for WBJEE 2019 entrance exam will be able to access their WBJEE admit card 2019 from the 2^nd week of April 2019. Candidates can download the WBJEE admit card 2019 from the official website. Along with the WBJEE admit card 2019, the candidate must carry a photograph (the same as used in WBJEE 2019 application form) and a valid ID proof to the examination centre.

WBJEE 2019 Exam Pattern

There will be 3 sections in WBJEE 2019, which are

1. Physics
2. Mathematics
3. Chemistry

The details of the exam pattern are as tabulated below:

Following are some important details regarding WBJEE 2019 exam pattern:

• All the questions will be multiple choice questions (MCQs).
• In Category-I: Only one answer option is correct.
• In Category-II: Only one answer option is correct.
• In Category-III: One or more answer options are correct
• Negative marking:- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in category-I and category-II. There is no negative marking in category-III
• The duration of the exam will be 4 hours.

WBJEE Result 2019

The WBJEE result 2019 will be declared on the 2nd of July 2019. The candidates must login to the official website with their valid credentials to check WBJEE result 2019. Candidates who qualify WBJEE result 2019 will be called for WBJEE counselling 2019.

WBJEE Counselling 2019

The process of WBJEE counselling 2019 will be kept in the month of June 2019. The e-counseling will be administered by the WBJEE Board to allow the seats to the applicants after the publication of WBJEE result 2019. The entrance will be offered on the basis of rank, availability of seats, category, etc. Through JEE Main 2019 rank 10% seats will be filled for admittance. All the applicants are required to carry all their certificates for documents verification during WBJEE counselling 2019.
