Introduction
SNAP or Symbiosis National Aptitude Test is an entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU), Pune for admission to MBA courses at 13 institutes of Symbiosis Colleges group. The SNAP Test is held once in a year, usually in the month of December. The SNAP exam began in 2007 as an instrument of measuring applicant’s aptitude for Management studies. Applicants appearing for SNAP exam have to register themselves individually for each college of Symbiosis group, a feature uncharacteristic of exams like CAT, MAT etc.

How Tough is the SNAP Test?
As per experts, the SNAP test is quite easy when compared to exams like CAT and XAT. However, some of the points where SNAP differentiates from CAT are:
- As of 2016, SNAP still remains an OFFLINE exam i.e. OMR sheets are used to report answers. This definitely lessens the effective time duration of the exam.
- Also, unlike CAT and MAT, SNAP test also comprises of a GK section, that too, bearing a greater weight compared to aptitude. This emphasis on GK adds a huge amount of syllabus compared to CAT.
However, the difficulty level of aptitude, reasoning and English questions in SNAP still lacks greatly from CAT and XAT. Hence, it’s still safe to call CAT the big dog in the yard.
