Important points to know before going to Exam Centre/hall for Civil Services (preliminary) Examination-2022

About e Admit Card
(i) By now, you must have downloaded the Admit Card. If not, please download immediately to avoid last moment rush. If, not down loaded, go on link :

(ii) After down loading, take out the print of the e admit card & keep it till final result of Civil services examination -2022.
(iii) No paper Admit card will be sent by post by the UPSC for this Examination, so downloading is the only option.
(iv)The candidates will have to produce the printout of their e-Admit Card at the allotted Venue for allowing & appearing at the Examination.
(v) The candidates are also required to carry along with them the Photo ID card, of which, number is mentioned by him/her in the e-Admit Card, for appearing at each of session of the examination.
(vi) In case the photograph on the print out of the e Admit card is not clear, blurred or not available, then, candidates will have to carry two (2) identical photographs (one photograph for each Session) along with Photo ID card and the printout of eAdmit Card at the Venue of the Examination for admission & appearing at the Examination with an undertaking.
(vii) In the event of any discrepancy observed by the candidate in the e-Admit Card, the same may be communicated to the Commission immediately by email (at email ID uscspupsc@nic.in) for taking the appropriate decision into the matter.
(viii) Candidates shall not be allowed to appear at any other Examination Centre (Venue) except the Examination Venue mentioned in the e-Admit Card.
Entry timings at the Examination Hall
(viii) The entry of the candidates into the Examination Venue shall be closed 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Examination i.e. 09.20 A.M. for the Forenoon Session and 02.20 P.M. for the Afternoon Session.
(ix) No candidate shall be allowed to enter into the Examination Centre( Venue) after closure of the entry hours as detailed in previous para.
What to carry (allowed in Examination Hall) ?
(xi) Candidates shall has to bring Black Ball Point Pen only as, the same shall be required to fill the OMR Answer Sheets and Attendance List.
(xii) Use of normal or simple wrist watches by the candidates are allowed inside the Examination Rooms/ Halls.
What are the prohibited items in Examination Venue (Hall) ?
(xiii) Use of watches fitted with any special accessory that might be used as communication device or smart watches are strictly prohibited and candidates are not allowed to take such watches into the Examination Rooms/Halls.
(xiv) Mobile phone, (even in switched off mode), pager or any electronic equipment or programmable device or storage media like pen drive, smart watches etc. or camera or Bluetooth devices or any other equipment or related accessories either in working or switched off mode capable of being used as a communication device.
(xv) Calculator.
(xvi) Valuable/costly items and bags.
Any infringement of these instructions shall entail strict disciplinary action against the concerned candidates including debarment from future Examination /Selection.

Candidates should note that any omission/ mistake/ discrepancy in encoding / filling in details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to Roll Number and Test Booklet Series Code, will render the answer sheet liable for rejection.
