IMPORTANT POINTS TO BE NOTED BY THE CANDIDATES FOR MBA PROGRAM

1. NIPER JCC 2020 released the All India Merit list based on the scores obtained by the candidates in NIPER JEE 2020 conducted online on 28/09/2020.

2. The qualifying rank has been prepared and based on self declared category by the candidates.
3. In the event of incorrect information provided by the candidate and if detected at any stage would lead to disqualification.

4. All the results/permission to appear in online counselling of NIPER JEE 2020 are provisional and are subject to final production of original documents at the time of reporting at the allotted NIPER (if any).

5. Schedule for Online Admission Counselling will be announced shortly.

6. Candidates with pending documents are requested to upload the the same, from registered email Id only. Communication regarding the same would be sent shortly by the test conducting body. Deadline to upload is 5PM on 04th of October, 2020.

7. Due to present pandemic situation, Admission to NIPER MBA Programme will be given solely based on NIPER JEE 2020 Rank. The GD and PI will not be conducted.

8. In case of any discrepancy, the decision taken by NIPER JCC 2020 will be binding to the candidates.

Introduction

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali (NIPER Mohali) is the first national-level Pharmacy research institute and is a part of the 7 schools under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. It is located in Mohali, Punjab and is a premier institute playing an important role in the advancement of the Indian Pharmaceutical industry.

The institute offers 2 year postgraduate programs in the field of Pharmaceutical Science, Engineering and Management; along with doctoral programs in Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

It is a autonomous public institute and has been declared as an ‘Institute of National Importance’ by the Government of India through an ‘Act of Parliament’, notified on 26^th June, 1998. It is also a member of Association of Indian Universities and Association of Commonwealth Universities.

Location of the Institute

NIPER Mohali is located at about 250 km north of Delhi. The institute is set up on a 130 acre campus in S.A.S Nagar, Mohali, Punjab.

This is 10 km from Chandigarh and is well linked to the airport, railway station and bus stations.

The Chandigarh railway station is 12 km from NIPER Mohali. However, the Mohali Railway Station (also called SAS Nagar Mohali Railway Station) is merely 3.3 Km from the campus.

It takes only 12 mins by car to reach NIPER from the Airport chowk (Shaheed-E-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh International Airport) in Chandigarh. The airport is located only 11 kms from NIPER Mohali.

To travel via a bus, one can board a bus from Chandigarh as it is only 13 kms from NIPER.

NIPER Mohali has been ranked 3rd by the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework, by Ministry of Human Resource and Development) pharmacy ranking in 2019.

NIPER Mohali Admissions

M.Tech/M.S (Pharm.) Admission

Admissions for M.Tech/M.S courses in NIPER Mohali & other campuses, will be based on candidates performance in NIPER JEE (NIPER Joint Entrance Exam). The candidates must also have a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)/ GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude test) score. The candidates must produce the scorecards during counseling.

Though, candidates holding a B.V.Sc, M.B.B.S, B.A.M.S degree, foreign nationals, candidates applying as NRI or ward of NRI and sponsored candidates from public/private sector undertaking, Government departments and research and development organizations are exempted from producing the GATE/GPAT scorecard.

M.B.A (Pharm.) Admission

Admission to M.B.A (Pharm.) at NIPER Mohali is based on NIPER JEE examination, however, unlike the other Master programs, the process also involves a Group discussion (GD) & Interview. The scores are then taken in 85:15 ratio of JEE to GD & PI.

Ph.D Admission

Admission to students of all categories are based on the NIPER JEE scores followed by an interview held by NIPER Mohali. The candidates must also have a valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering)/ GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude test)/ NET (National Eligibility Test) score. The candidates must produce the scorecards during counseling.

NIPER Mohali is located on a 130 acres site at S.A.S Nagar (Mohali). It is a fully residential institute and offers hostel accommodation for both married and unmarried students and faculties. NIPER Mohali Placements

Placement records for 2018-2019 has not been updated on the official website yet.

The Placement cell of NIPER Mohali is responsible for all aspects regarding placements. A total of 142 students were placed from M.S (Pharm), M.Pharm, M.Tech (Pharm) and MBA (Pharm) in 2016.

45 companies had visited the campus and few of the major recruiters were Syngene, Dr. Reddys Laboratories, Biocon, etc.
