What is MU OET?
MU OET is an annual entrance test, conducted by Manipal University, Karnataka, for admission to various UG courses offered at Manipal University. Unlike other university entrance exams, MU OET is a joint entrance exam for various courses offered at Manipal University. Through MUOET scores, a candidate can apply for B.Tech/MBBS/BDS/BA/BBA. Besides a huge pool of courses, MU OET 2017 scores can also secure you an admission in Manipal University’s Jaipur and Sikkim campus. In 2014, approximately 1.86 lakhs students registered for MU OET. By the way, MUOET stands for Manipal University Online Entrance Test.

Type of Examination
MU OET 2017 is a Computer- based test
1st & 2nd Attempt: 24th April to 15th May 2017.
3rd Attempt: 17th May 2017.
Medium of Test
The question paper for MUOET 2017 shall be in ENGLISH only.
No. of Attempts
A number of attempts against a single MU OET 2017 application vary from 01 to 03.
Let us consider a scenario. A student applies for MUOET 2017 and locks 24th April 2017 as exam date. After taking the exam, the student assesses his performance as below average. Now in such a situation, this candidate can choose to reattempt MUOET 2017 on another date of his choice. This task is accomplished by paying Rs. 1400/- as exam fee and locking a suitable date. Let us consider this date to be 1st May 2017. Now the attempt on 1st May 2017 will be his 2nd attempt. Similarly, the candidate can choose to take the exam for the 3rd time.
Therefore, a student can choose to take MUOET 2017 for at least once. This makes the maximum attempts at 03 and minimum at 01.
A candidate is eligible for the 2nd attempt if and only if he has used his 1st attempt. The same is applicable for the 3rd attempt.
Date of Examination
1st and 2nd attempt: 24th April to 15th May 2017.
3rd attempt: 17th May 2017.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifying exam: Candidate must have passed the 10+2 exam with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology.
Score in MU OET 2017: Candidates must have scored at least 50% marks in the entrance test for admissions.

The application fee for MU OET 2017 Rs. 2000 were Rs. 600/- is for application and Rs.1400/- is for the exam.

How to fill the application?
Applications for MU OET 2017 are open now.
Aspirants of MUOET 2017 can apply ONLINE in between 2nd November 2016 & 11th March 2017. No OFFLINE forms are available. Online forms are available on https://apply.manipal.edu/. The application process can be divided into 5 stages.
Basic Personnel Details: Candidates have to fill in their personal details such as Name, Address, Father’s Name etc. Upon submission, application no. along with password is generated.
Contact Information: Candidate has to fill his contact details such as the address for correspondence, mobile no. etc.
Educational Qualification: Candidate is asked about his educational background.
Program & Payment: At this stage, candidates are supposed to pay the application fee and enter the details of the program they are applying for.
Date Booking (OTBS)
All the candidates who have successfully applied for MU OET 2017 will be asked to select an examination date of their choice. This process is called slot booking.
The booking portal or the Online test booking System (OTBS) for 1st and 2nd attempt will be in operation from 24th March – 10th April 2017. Date booking is the First-come-first-serve process. In order to lock the desired date, candidates must choose the date as soon as possible.
For the 3rd attempt, candidates can book dates on 15th and 16th May 2017.
Procedure for choosing a date
- Follow the link manipalotbs.com and enter your application number and OTBS password in the fields provided (received via email).
- Confirm the test city, as filled in the application form.
- After confirming the test city, select a date and time slot from the ones available for your test city.
- Upon proceeding further, details of the test center and timings will be provided.
- After the booking is completed, candidates can download their hall tickets.

Through MUOET 2017 score, a candidate can apply in all the institutes of Manipal Group.

Exam Patten
MUOET-2017 is a 2 ½ Hours long computer based test. A total of 200 questions of equal weight age will be presented to the candidates. The complete question paper is divided into 4 sections:
Section I: Physics – 50 questions.
Section II: Chemistry – 50 questions.
Section III: Mathematics – 70 questions.
Section IV: English & Aptitude – 30 questions.
There is no negative marking for wrong answers.

Your application status says you haven’t submitted the photocopy of 12th mark sheet. As far as exam date is concerned, you have to book the exam date on your own. The link for booking is http://www.manipalotbs.com/. In case you have already booked it, check your mail.
