Introduction
Army Public Schools (APS) are located in various Cantonments and Military Stations across India. These schools are administered and managed by Local Military Authorities and affiliated to the CBSE. For list of Army Public schools refer Annexure-I of GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES.
Important Points about Job/OST (On Line Screening Test)
For selection of teachers on regular & fixed term basis in Army Public Schools ( APS),Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), under Ministry of Defence (Army) conducts the OST( Online Screening Test) on behalf of the Boards of Administration at Regional Command Headquarters.
Those who appear in the examination will be given a score card which shall be valid for life provided the candidate picks up a teaching job within three years from the date of passing the online screening test in any CBSE affiliated school for a continuous duration of at least one year
Selection and appointment will be done by the Board of Administration/School Administration and Management Committee.
A Score Card (OST) will make a candidate eligible to appear for the remaining stages of the selection process.
Apart from eligibility to fresh candidates, candidates falling under following bracket (category) may also appear for the Online Screening Test: –
(i) Holders of Score Cards who want to improve their scores.
(ii) Those desirous of upgrading themselves. For e.g., candidates holding Score Card of TGT may now want to obtain a card for PGT, having acquired additional qualification.
Notes: It may be noted that holding a score card by itself does not entitle a candidate for an appointment as teacher in any Army Public School. It only renders the candidate eligible for stage 2 and 3 of the selection processes.

(i) CTET/TET is not mandatory for appearing in the (OST) Online Screening Test.
(ii) However, CTET/TET conducted by Centre/state government is mandatory at the time of appointment as TGTs/PRTs in the REGULAR and FIXED TERM category. Therefore, candidates must ensure that they clear CTET/TET before their appointment as TGTs/PRTs. Candidates who have not qualified CTET/TET but found fit in all other aspects may be considered for appointment on vacancies which may be ADHOC in nature till attainment of appropriate qualification.

Step 2: Fill in all the data & details as per page appeared on the screen& follow procedure as per instructions given on screen against each row/ column & click the ‘submit’ button.
Note: You can edit your Post/Other details any time before submitting, except Basic Details (First Page).
Step 3: A SMS containing application number and login ID information is forwarded at your registered Mobile No.
Note: Please keep/ note down the application number carefully as it is to mention in all your future correspondence/queries related to your application form.
Step 4: The system will ask for payment of the exam fee ON-LINE, which is to be made through payment options: UPI/Debit/Credit Cards/ Net banking.
Note: A payment gateway has been integrated with the web-site for the purpose and candidates will be guided through the payment process.

5 Jobs in APS: Selection Procedure
Mode of selection shall be a 3 stage process:
- Online Screening Test (OST)
- Interview
- Evaluation of Teaching Skills and Computer Proficiency
6 Jobs in APS: Modalities of Conduct of the Online Screening Test
(i) For each category there will be one question paper of 200 marks will be held, i.e., one question paper for PRT, and one question paper in each subject for PGT as well as TGT.
(ii) The question paper will have 200 questions for one mark each. For each correct response the candidate will be awarded one mark. There will also be NEGATIVE MARKING, of 1/4 mark for each wrong answer.
(iii) Result. There will be NO MINIMUM PASSING MARKS for the Online Screening Test.
