Introduction
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Sirmaur is a government institution and nineteenth in India’s most prestigious Business school family of IIMs. Established in 2015, in the valleys of Himachal Pradesh. IIM Sirmaur offers a degree in Master of Business Administration. Like all other IIMs, after induction of the IIM bill of 2017, IIMS have become an autonomous institution to award degrees of MBA instead of earlier PGDM diplomas. IIM Sirmaur is constantly striving in deleivering quality education, training and research in Management in an enabling environment, with a focus on indigenous areas and innovative practices, to develop outstanding corporate leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Jolly Grant is the nearest airport, 70kms away from the Paonta Sahib campus of IIM Sirmaur. The nearest railway station is Jagadhri. It is 47kms away from the campus. Buses and taxis are readily available from both the stops for IIMS.
It is presently functional from its temporary campus at the Himachal Technical University, Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. It’s permanent campus will be situated on the Ambala – Dehradun national highway in Dhaula Kuan near Nahan.

By Air :
From Dehradun, Uttrakhand – The airport at Jolly Grant is the nearest airport; located about 70 km from Paonta Sahib.
From Shimla, Himachal Pradesh – The Jubbarhatti Airport at Shimla is situated about 170 km from Paonta Sahib.
From Chandigarh – The Chandigarh International Airport at Chandigarh is situated about 112 km. From Paonta Sahib.
From the airport, taxis and buses are available to reach Paonta Sahib.
By Train:
Jagadhri – 47 Km
Dehradun – 52.5 Km
Yamuna Nagar – 56 Km
Ambala Cantt – 105 KM

Temporary Campus
IIM Sirmaur presently runs from the Paonta Sahib campus of Himachal Technical University. Situated in the lush green Himachal valleys, the campus is equipped with modern facilities and latest technology for an excellent learning environment. The institute has state-of-the-art classroom with overhead projectors, fully equipped labs with latest software and databases and conference rooms with video conferencing facility. The campus provides many other amenities like:

Permanent Campus
It’s permanent campus is being built over a 210 acres plot on the Ambala – Dehradun national highway No 72 in Dhaula Kuan near Nahan. The campus is blessed with natural beauty. To the north, one can enjoy the lush fruit orchards and see the Himalayan ranges and the Shivalik ranges to the south. A seasonal river, Sankul divides the campus into two halves. The development of phase 1 has begun in 2019, after which the campus would be functional.
The permanent campus at Dhaula Kuan is 15 kilometers from Paonta Sahib, 103 kilometers from Chandigarh airport, 97 kilometers from Dehradun Jolly Grant airport. The nearest rail heads are at Yamunanagar at a distance of 60 kilometers and Dehradun railway station at a distance of 68 kilometers.

Currently IIMs offers a postgraduate degree course of MBA. It is a two years full time residential program. The two years are separated by a summer internship and divided into 6 total terms, wherein, the first three terms are for teaching basic management practices and the last three terms are for elective specialization(Courses) in the fields of:

Admissions MBA
IIMS MBA Admissions process is subject to the CAT exam, conducted every year by one of the IIMs. The shortlisted candidates undergo a Personal Presence Process (PPP) consisting of a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). 2 Master of Business Administration (Tourism & Hospitality Management)
IIM Sirmaur offers two-year full-time residential sectorial Programme. Each academic year consisting of three trimesters, leading to the grant of Degree of MBA (Tourism & Hospitality Management). The first-year coursework shall be mandatory for all the students followed by a summer internship and International Immersion Programme (IIP). IIP is proposed as a voluntary activity after Term-III for students to have an exposure to international business in general and tourism in particular . The summer internship is for a period of six to eight weeks where the students are required to work on tourism related projects.
In the second year, students shall be offered core and functional elective courses across different areas of specialization in Tourism and Hospitality sectors and students can select their preferred elective courses.
ADMISSION (Master of Business Administration (Tourism & Hospitality Management))
I Eligibility
Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 pattern)/B. Tech in any discipline from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST/PH).
Score on any one of the following tests –
Valid CAT Score/GMAT (last 5 years)
or
Score obtained in Admission Test conducted by IIM Sirmaur (on a pre-notified date to the eligible candidates)
Candidates will be shortlisted based on valid CAT/GMAT/IIM Sirmaur Test score, as the case may be. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview/Interaction at a designated venue/location. Centres for the IIM Sirmaur Test include Kolkata, Bangalore, Delhi, Chandigarh and Paonta Sahib H.P. (Himachal Pradesh). However, the Institute reserves the right to add/cancel any centre for the conduct of Entrance Test.
Announcement of the final selection/merit list under any category/quota shall be strictly in order of inter-se merit on the basis of the composite score arrived at using weightages as per valid CAT 2019/GMAT (last 5 years)/IIM Sirmaur 2020 Test score, PI score, academic profile, work experience and gender diversity.

How to Apply ( For MBA ( T & HM) ?
A candidate has to submit online application with all the attachments as required on or before Saturday, up to the specified date and time on payment of requisite application fee (Rs 500/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH category and Rs 1000/- for others).
The applicant shall follow the guidelines below while applying for MBA (Tourism & Hospitality Management):
- Applications submitted through any other mode except online application shall be summarily rejected.
- Incomplete applications or applications with wrong information shall be summarily rejected at any stage of the process.
- The applicant must provide the correct and valid email ID and mobile number.
- Please note that the mailing address and email ID provided by the candidate shall be used for all correspondence by the Institute. All correspondence related to the admission shall be made on the communicated email ID only.
- While filling the online application form, scanned copy of the documents must be uploaded wherever it has been asked for.
- Giving false information will affect the candidature negatively. If a candidate is admitted to the Programme on the basis of false information, it will lead to his/her expulsion from the Institute at any stage without assigning any reason thereof.
- Please note that mere fulfilling the minimum qualifications will not make a candidate eligible for admissions to MBA (Tourism & Hospitality Management) Programme 2020.

Note:- (i) Inthe event of the Immersion Programme is not conducted, the cost of fee charged for the immersion Programme activity shall be adjusted against the term fee.

One time charges:
- An amount Rs. 50,000 is taken at the time of confirmation of the admission. This amount will be adjusted against payment of tuition fees in the future. If the person does not actually join the institute, only Rs 1000 will be retained as per GOI guidelines.
