Introduction

Exam for IBPS Clerk is conducted by IBPS(Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) for candidates who want to join clerical post in banking sector all over the country. Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection(IBPS) conducts exam for recruitment opportunity in banking sector for various posts and the Clerical exam for the eighth year is yet to be conducted. For selection, candidates has to pass two levels of examination i.e.Preliminary exam and mains for selection for the post. Online apply link for IBPS Clerk Exam has been made activated on 12 July, 2021.

The recruitment process of IBPS clerk involve Preliminary examination and mains examination.

Preliminary examination is scheduled on 28/08/2021, 29/08/2021 & 04/09/2021 December, 2021 and Mains is scheduled on 31/10/2021. January/February 2022

Medium and Mode of Examination

Exam paper will be in English and Hindi language.CBT(Computer based Test) mode of examination will be followed for both preliminary and mains.

Eligibility criteria for IBPS Clerk

A candidate must be either –
(i) a Citizen of India or
(ii) a subject of Nepal or
(iii) a subject of Bhutan or
(iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
or
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda,
the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam
with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) &
(v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational qualification:

A degree(any discipline) from recognized university or any equivalent qualification.

Note:- All the educational qualifications should be from a University/ Institution/ Board recognised
by Govt. Of India/ approved by Govt. Regulatory Bodies and the final result should have been declared on or
before 01.08.2021.

Age Eligibility: (As on 01/07/2021).


Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.07.1993 and not later than 01.07.2001 (both dates inclusive)

Note :- (i) The relaxation in upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC candidates is allowed on cumulative basis with only one
of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above in Point No. 3 to 6.

How to apply?

Candidates can apply online only from 12.07.2021 to 01.08.2021 07/10/2021 to 28/10/2021 and no other mode of application will be accepted.

Before applying online, candidates should keep in readiness of their—
(i) Photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm)

(ii) Signature & left thumb impression

Note:- (a) If a candidate is not having left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb.
(b) If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand starting from the
forefinger should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of
the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If no fingers are available,
the impression of left toe may be taken.

(c) In all such cases where left thumb impression is not uploaded, the candidate should specify in the uploaded document the name of finger and the specification of left/right hand or toe.

(d) Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS will NOT be accepted.

(e) The left thumb impression should be properly scanned and not smudged

(iii) A hand written declaration (text given below) { In case of candidates who cannot write may get the
text of declaration typed and put their left hand thumb impression (if not able to sign also) below the
typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications} ensuring that the all these scanned documents adhere to the required specifications as given in Annexure III to the official Advertisement.

Note:-(a) The text for the hand written declaration is as follows –
“I, _ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the
application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”

(b) The above mentioned hand written declaration has to be in the candidate’s hand writing and in English only
and should NOT BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS. If it is written by anybody else or in any other language, the
application will be considered as invalid.

(iv) Keep the necessary details/documents ready to make Online Payment of the requisite application fee/
intimation charges.

(v) Valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of this round of Common Recruitment Process.

Notes:- (i) IBPS may send call letters for the Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID.Under no circumstances, a candidate should share with/mention e-mail ID to / of any other person.

(ii) In case a candidate does not have a valid personal e-mail ID, he/she should create his/her new e-mail ID before applying on-line and must maintain that email account.

To Apply:

1.Visit the official website and click on the link ‘Application form of IBPS Clerk 2021‘.

2.Click on “New user register” and sign in.

3.Complete all the details and submit.

4. After submission, a provisional registration number and password will be displayed on the screen.

5.Log in using these credentials and complete the remaining process by uploading photograph( 4.5x 3.5 Cm) and signature(10 kb – 20 kb).

6.Page will be redirected to fee payment and candidates can pay the application fee:

Rs. 175/- (inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PWBD/EXSM candidates.

  • Rs. 850 /- (inclusive of GST) for all others

7.Submit the application and take a print out of the e-receipt and online application.

IBPS admit card

Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection(IBPS) will issue IBPS clerk admit card usually 10-15 days before IBPS Clerk 2021exam .Admit card can never be sent via post to the candidate. Candidate must enter Registration number/roll number and date of birth to login on the official website.

IBPS Clerk Mains exam pattern 2021

Mains consists of four sections likely General/Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning ability and computer Aptitude, Quantitative Aptitude.

Penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Online Preliminary and Online Main Examination)

(i) There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a
wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question
will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

(ii) If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.
