Introduction


Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2021) is a national level entrance test conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi once each year for eligibility to be appointed as a teacher for Class I to VIII as per the official notification released by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). CTET December ,2021 registration starts in 03rd week of September, 2021.

Validity Period of CTET Certificate & Number of attempts:


The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life time for all categories.


There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate.

A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.

Mode of Examination


CTET 2021 will be conducted in on line mode Computer Basted Test (CBT) Mode only with MCQs ( Multi Choice questions)

Medium of Examination

Main question paper shall be Bilingual (Hindi/English).


A candidate may choose any one language as Language I and other as Language II from the available language options and will be required to specify the same in the Confirmation Page.

CTET Eligibility Criteria 2021

The persons possessing minimum qualifications for the teaching staff in accordance with the following are eligible for appearing in the CTET:
(a) National Council for Teacher Education (Determination of Minimum Qualifications for Persons to be recruited as Education Teachers and Physical Education Teachers in Pre-Primary, Primary, Upper Primary, Secondary, Senior Secondary or Intermediate Schools or Colleges) Regulations as amended and notified from time to time.


(b) Minimum qualifications laid down in the Recruitment Rules for the teachers by the Appropriate Government where the school is situated or the Recruitment Rules for the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

(c) The candidate should check and satisfy his/her eligibility before applying and he/she shall be personally responsible in case he/she is not eligible to apply as per the given eligibility criteria.

(d) It is to be noted that if, a candidate has been allowed to appear in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test it does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been verified. It does not vest any right with the candidate for appointment. The eligibility shall be finally verified, by the concerned recruiting agency / appointing authority.



How to Apply for CTET December 2021 Examination?


Currently the application portal is live.

Candidates will have to Registration/ fill the application form of CTET 2021 examination through online mode only.


The Category wise application Fee for CTET 2021 is as under:

Notes : (i) GST as applicable will be charged extra by the Bank.

(ii) By Online-mode (Payment by Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking).

(iii) Remittance through E-Challan by depositing the prescribed fee in CTET Exam Fee Account with Canara Bank e-Challan.

Notes :- (i) Uploading of scanned Photo and Signature are mandatory.

Examination Centres

(i) Candidates are required to give FOUR DIFFERENT OPTIONS in order of their preference. For state wise centres, refer page 33 to 41 of Official Information Bulletin.

(ii) Every effort will be made to allot a Centre in one of the places opted by the candidate, however, the Board reserves its discretion to allot a Centre other than that of Candidate’s choice anywhere in India.

(iii) Under no circumstances, the Centre once allotted shall be changed by the Board.

Steps of Applying


The complete online application procedure for CTET 2021 is as under :-

Registration:

Candidate has to do one time Registration. For registration, follow following steps:

STEP 1: Go on link: Registration/ Application

STEP 2: Click ” New Registration”.
STEP 3: New page will appear , containing certain information. Please read it carefully.

Step 4 : After reading, click the box on left. Then, click “Click here to Proceed”.

Step 5 : A new page will open. Enter all the information.

“Personal Information”,

”Contact Details” &

” Permanent Address”

Choose Pass word as per password policy &, then Submit.

Step 6: After successful submission of the data, a Registration/ Application Number No. will be generated and it is to be noted down & will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and also required for all future correspondence.

Filling of Application:

Step 1: Go on Link : Registration/ Application

Step 2 : On new page , Sign in With your Registration/ Application Number No and pass word.

Step 3: A new page will open. On this page , enter all the information and submit.

Step 4 : A new page will open. On this page, upload your images of signature and photo as per above details and also upload other documents and then ,” Submit .

Step 5 : On the appeared new page, make the application fee on line or through Canera Bank e challan and submit.

Step 6 : After submission of the application. Take its print out of confirmation page for future reference.

CTET Admit card 2021


Regarding the Admit Card, note the following Points:

(i) Date of download of Admit Card will be notified later on.

(ii) The exact date for downloading admit card will be available on CTET website for latest updates, please visit CTET official website : www.ctet.nic.in .

(iii) Candidates are required to download and take a print of their admit card as it will not be send via post.

(iv) Candidates may download e-Admit Card from CTET official website and appear for the examination at the given Centre.

(v) In case of any discrepancy noticed in e-admit card regarding particulars of candidate, photograph and signature or any other information which is different from confirmation page, he/she may immediately contact CTET Unit for necessary corrections.
(vi) The candidates shall report at the Examination Centre at 7:30 AM for Shift – I and 12.30PM for Shift – II i.e. 120 minutes before the commencement of the examination. Candidate(s) who report(s) at the examination centre after 9:30 AM in SHIFT-I and after 2:30 PM in SHIFT-II shall not be allowed to appear in the examination.

CTET Exam Pattern 2021

There will be 02 Papers of CTET.

Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.

Notes: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Mode of exam:


The exam will be conducted in on line mode (CBT Mode) 

Exam Duration


  The candidates get 2 hour 30 minutes to answer the questions.

Type of Questions


  There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each question carries one mark and there will be no negative marking.

Total Marks


 150 marks will be allotted totally

Total Number of Questions


150 questions in 4 sections from the following areas of Child Development and Pedagogy , Language I , Language II and other subjects.

Marking Scheme


+1 mark will be allotted for each correct answer and NO mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

FAQ’s


  1. Question: How many times does Ctet exam held in a year?

Answer: CBSE conducts CTET once in a year from 2019 onwards

2. Question: Is B Ed mandatory forCTET?

Answer: B.Ed and B.El.Ed are the undergraduate / college degrees required to teach in a Govt. and CBSE affliated schools. It is mandatory to either have a diploma or a degree in education to write the CTET/TET exams too.

3. Qusetion: Where is CTET applicable?

Answer: (i) The CTET shall apply to schools of the Central Government (KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc.) and schools under the administrative control of UT’s of Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar HaveliDaman & Diu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and NCT of Delhi.

(ii) CTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.

(iii) Schools owned and managed by the State Government/local bodies and aided schools shall consider the TET conducted by the State Government. However, a State Government can also consider the CTET if it decides not to conduct the State TET.
