Introduction
AIIMS PG (All India Institute of Medical Sciences Post Graduate) entrance examination is a national level entrance test conducted by AIIMS administration, New Delhi, twice every year i.e., in January and July. Clearing AIIMS PG 2020 provides admission to MD/MS/DM/M.Ch and MDS at one of the 9 AIIMS across India. The official notification for the January 2020 session has been released by AIIMS.

AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Date
The AIIMS PG 2020 will be held on 17th November 2019 (January session)
Medical Courses 09:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
Dental Courses 09:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
The July session exam shall take place in the 1st week of May 2020.
Mode of Examination
AIIMS PG 2020 will be conducted in online mode (computer based test), in objective format.
Medium of Examination
The AIIMS PG 2020 examination will be conducted in English only.
AIIMS PG 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- The applying candidate must be an Indian citizen
- Candidates who are NRI (Non-Resident Indians), OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) and Foreign National (only applicable for AIIMS, New Delhi) can also apply provided they send their registration slip to AIIMS through diplomatic channel
Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed BDS for applying MDS and MBBS for applying MD/MS under a recognized Medical/Dental university of India.
- The minimum marks required are as follows:

How to Apply for AIIMS PG 2020 Examination?
The application portal for January 2020 session is active till 11th October 2019
AII registrations can be done through online mode only.
For January session:
The basic registration for AIIMS PG 2020 through Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) has started from 6th May 2019 and the final registration from 27th August 2019
For July session:
The basic registration will start from 3rd week of October 2019 and the final registration from 3rd week of March 2020.
After the last date of basic registration, there will be no correction can be made and the application will stand cancelled or invalid.

Candidates are required to pay the application fee which can be paid through Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking.

Application Procedure
The complete online application procedure for AIIMS 2020 is divided into 6 stages.
- Basic Registration.
- On successful basic registration, the candidates will receive login details for the official portal
- Uploading documents.
- Final registration
- Payment of Application Fee.
- Printing the Completed Application Form
Admit Card
Admit Card will be available from 1st week of November 2019 for January session and in Last week of March 2020 for july session
The admit card will be made available on the official website through online mode only.
Candidates are required to download and take a print of their admit card as it will not be send via post.

AIIMS PG 2020 Exam Pattern
- AIIMS PG 2020 will be conducted in online mode.
- Exam Duration: For NTA CMAT 2020 the candidates get 90 minutes for MDS and 180 minutes for MD/MS to answer the questions.
- Type of Questions: There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Total Marks: 90 marks will be allotted for MDS and 200 marks will be allotted for MD/MS totally
- Total Number of Questions: 90 questions for MDS and 200 for MD/MS will be asked respectively.
- Marking Scheme: +1 mark will be allotted for each correct answer and 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
AIIMS PG 2020 Results
Results will be announced probably on the 4th week of November 2019 for January session and in 4th week of November 2019 for july session
Candidates must check the results online on the official website and must download it and keep a hard copy of the score card.
AIIMS PG 2020 Counselling
The AIIMS PG 2020 counselling process will be conducted from 1st week of December 2019 for January session and in 3rd week of May 2019 for july session
The counselling will be in offline mode
Candidates are requested to submit the following documents at the time of admission as per the instructions provided:
- MBBS or BDS Degree certificate.
- Mark sheets of MBBS/BDS professional examination
- Internship certificate (must state that internship was completed as on January 30, 2020)
- 10th Mark sheet
- Category certificate
- Provisional/Permanent registration certificate issued by MCI/DCI/state Medical Council/ state Dental Council
- PWD(person with Disability) must submit a PWBD (person with Benchmark Disability) certificate
- Admit card
- Registration slip
FAQs
Ques. Can modification of choice in exam city can be made after application fee payment?
Answer. No, modification in the exam city option is not possible after the payment of exam fee by online mode.
Ques. Is there any reservation in AIIMS PG?
Answer. There is a 49.5% reservation. Reservation is for the SC (Scheduled Castes), ST (Scheduled Tribes) and NCL (Non-creamy layer) candidates.
Ques. How many seats are there in AIIMS PG?
Answer. Number of seats – As per the July session prospectus, the exam will be conducted for admission to 464 MD/MS/DM/MCh and 14 MDS seats offered in seven AIIMS Institutes across India.
