INTRODUCTION

Amrita Entrance Examination- Engineering (AEEE) more widely and popularly known as AEEE is conducted by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, once every year. It is a national level examination. The examination is generally held in the month of April. It offers courses in Engineering and Technology. There are total 5 campuses of the Amrita Schools which offers Engineering courses, located at Bengaluru, Chennai, Amritapuri ,Coimbatore, Amravati ( Proposed). Candidates can get their admission into Amrita Schools by JEE mains marks as well.The exam is conducted in both online and offline mode. The candidates can appear for the examination right after completing their 10+2 level examinations or equivalent.

AEEE 2020, both on line and off line will be held 23 to 27 April 2019

MODE OF EXAMINATION

AEEE is an offline as well as an online based examination.

MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION

AEEE is conducted across the country in English language.

AEEE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The candidates appearing for AEEE has to meet certain eligibility criteria:

  • The candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidate must be born on or after July 1, 1999.
  • Candidate must pass 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination with minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and with not less than 55% individually in each of these three subjects.

Application Fee

  • Candidates can pay their fees through online payment mode such as through Credit cards, debit cards and also through internet banking.
  • Candidates can pay their fees offline through demand draft.
  • The exam fee for both male and female through online for
    • AEEE Rs.1000.
    • JEE Main  Rs 1000
    • AEEE and JEE Main Rs 1000
    • JEE Mains(2020) only Rs 400/-

Documents to be uploaded

  • Candidate’s passport size photo.
  • Candidate’s signature.
  • Both the documents need to be scanned and save it in JPG or JPEG format.

How to Register and Apply on Line

The application portal is now active. Students can register for the examination by filling the application form available on the official website of AEEE. Candidates can apply for this exam by online mode as well as offline mode. The dates from which the application form filling has been started from 19 September 2019 and end by 4th week of March, 2020

For Online Registration:

  • Visit the official website of AEEE, https://www.amrita.edu
  • Click on the link at Apply Now ( In right)
  • It will redirect to another page B Tech Admission Portal.
  • This page contains two parts. 1st for Registration and 2nd for Log in for registered candidates.
  • For new user , 1st registration to be done by filling email and mobile number and click the Registration button
  • A new page will appear, where on set your pass word and then , click Registration Button.
  • Keep this pass word in your safe custody. It will be required at all stages till admission.
  • Then , on page of admission portal, email and password.
  • The page of application will be opened, where in personal details to be filled in like Name, Father’s name , address, mobile number date of birth, disability percentage, Adhar Number, Nationality and alternate email address Postal address, school last attended and address of School.
  • On the new redirected page, the students have to upload their scanned copy of photograph( 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, upto 20 kb ) and signature ( 3.5 cm x 1.5 cm, upto 20 kb ).
  • If you apply through AEEE 2020 only, then you have to Select Type of Examination, i.e. CBT or PBT. And, you have to give at least 03 preferences for the test centers for AEEE 2020.
  • If you apply through JEE Main score, then a message appear that you have to enter the score details of JEE Mains 2020.
  • After completing this step, they have to again click on the submit button and they will be redirected to another page which shows Payment.
  • The candidate then has to make their payment by using Credit card, Debit card or through Net banking.
  • After making the payment, the candidate has to click on the submit button to ensure its proper registration for the examination.
  • On filling up and submission of application form, candidate has to go for process of slot booking for AEEE 2020. candidates have to select their preferred exam date, time and exam center to appear for the exam . The slot booking is based on first come and first serve basis

For Offline Registration:

  • For offline registration, students have to get a printed OMR copy of the
    application form from Post Office, Dhanlaxmi Bank and Feederal Bank by paying the exam fee.
  • Students can also get the application form from the counter of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore by giving a demand draft of Rs.1000 in favor of “Amrita Schools of Engineering”, payable at Coimbatore.
  • Students can also get the application form by post from Admission Coordinator,Amrita Schools of Engineering, Coimbatore on a written request mentioning their full communication address together with a demand draft with  details.
  • The candidate should mention their name, mobile number, email-ID and B.Tech.t the back of DD.

Students have to fill up the form and again sent the form by post to the address of the Admission Coordinator on envelope.

 

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED DURING EXAMINATION

The documents that should be carried by all the candidates at the time of examination, are as follows:

  • AEEE 2020 Admit card.
  • Valid Photo ID Proof

AEEE ADMIT CARD

  • The tentative dates for the release of admit card is 2nd week of April, 2020.
  • The Admit Card will be available on the official website of AEEE and it will be issued to only those candidates who have successfully done the entire registration procedure correctly. 
  • It will be available few days prior to the examination.
  • Candidates can download their admit card by filling in their application number and email-ID and their birth date.
  • Students will be allowed to sit for the exam only and only if they have their admit card.

AEEE EXAMINATION PATTERN

  • The exam is an offline as well as an online examination.
  • The duration of the exam is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • There are total of 100 questions
  • Each paper is divided into 3 sections.
  • The 1st section of the paper has 40 questions on Mathematics, the 2nd section has 30 questions on Physics and the 3rd section has 30 questions on Chemistry.
  • The question answers are in the MCQ format.
  • 3 marks is awarded for each right answer and 1 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.

AEEE 2020 RESULTS

  • AEEE 2020 results will be published tentatively in the 1st week of May, 2020. 
  • Candidates can check their result from the official website using their application number and email-ID and their date of birth (if needed).
  • The scorecard is valid for a single year. 
  • Candidates should keep their scorecard till the end of the entire admission process. 
  • Students who qualify the exam are called for counselling.

AEEE COUNSELLING

  • The counselling will start after the results are declared that is tentatively from the mid of the May month.
  • There will be centralized counselling.
  • Students after receiving the counselling letter has to go the specified venue and get themselves registered for counselling by verifying the bar-code on the counselling letter.
  • Seats will be allocated to students depending on their rank.

During the process of admission, the students should get all its valid documents and get them verified. The documents that are asked for are:

  • Valid photo ID
    • 10 and 10+2 level marksheet
    • transfer certificate
    • domicile certificate
    • passport size photographs
    • Application form of AEEE 2020
    • AEEE 2020 counselling letter
    • Community certificate
    • Students marksheet for any undertaken graduate degree
    • AADHAR card
    • Counselling fee- Demand draft of Rs.10,000 in favor of Amrita Schools of Engineering, payable at Coimbatore.
    • Advance tuition fee- Demand draft of Rs.50,000 in favor of Amrita Schools of Engineering, payable at Coimbatore.
    • Self-attested photocopies of all the documents
  • After the verification process, students will be allotted seats based on their rank.
  • Scholarships are also available for students who meet their requirements.

  • Why can’t I upload the photo?

Probably the picture isn’t saved in the desired format, that might be the reason why the photo isn’t getting uploaded.

  • Can the application fees be paid online?

Yes, the application fee can be paid online through credit card or debit card or by net banking.
