Introduction
Management Development Institution, commonly called MDI, is a private B-School situated in Gurgaon offering various post-graduate and doctoral courses in management. MDI Gurgaon was established in 1973 by Industrial Finance Corporation of India. The institute is regarded as one of the finest private management schools in India. It is also the first B-school in India to be accredited by Association of MBAs (AMBA), London and has collaborated with various global academies such as World Bank, ILO and UNDP among othe₹ The institute recently opened a sister campus at Murshidabad, West Bengal in 2015.

MDI is situated in Gurugram, a blooming commercial hub of India. This facilitates various opportunities and added advantages compared to other B-Schools.
MDI Gurgaon is well connected via buses with the rest of the city. The city of Gurugram also has a well-connected metro railway service.
The Gurugram railway station is 7 km from MDI Gurgaon campus.

MDI Gurgaon Admissions 2019
PGPM/PGP-HRM/PGP-IM
Following steps will result in admission at MDI for these programs:
- Registering for MDI through its official website.
- Taking CAT.
- Appearing for Group Discussion (if shortlisted).
- Appearing for Personal Interview (if shortlisted).
For admission to these programs, students have to register separately before the CAT 2019 exam day.
Candidates will be selected for further rounds based on their past academic performance and CAT 2018 scores.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Group Discussions & Personal Interview at designated cente₹
Final selection will be made based on the candidate’s past academic record, CAT 2018 scores, Interview & GD.
Aspirants of MDI Gurgaon must apply separately for the institution.
National Management Program (NMP)/PGP-EM
Admission to NMP/PGP-EM (Energy Management) programs at MDI involves following steps:
- Registering for the Program through official website.
- Appearing for CAT/MDI Test/GMAT (FN/NRI/PO).
- Shortlisting of candidates based on Past Academic record and CAT/MDI Test/GMAT scores.
- Personal Interview (if shortlisted).
Final selections will be made based on cumulative performance of the candidate at all levels.
PGP – PPM (Public Policy Management)
PGP – PPM admits 2 types of candidates:
- Govt. Officials recommended by DoPT (Department of Personnel & Training).
- Self – Sponsored Candidates.
Candidates falling under the 1st category of applicants are selected based on recommendations by Govt. of India and a Personal Interview.
Candidates falling in the category of Self-sponsored applicants have to follow the similar procedure as NMP/PGP-EM Program.
PGPM-PT (Part-Time)
Selections to PGPM-PT program involves following steps:
- Written Test conducted by MDI Gurgaon.
- Interview.
Only Executives/Managers of Public/Private organisations and Entrepreneurs (Family Business) are eligible for this program.
Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)
Selection is based on following factors:
- Scores in either of GRE/GMAT/CAT/UGC-JRF are required.
- Personal Interview (if shortlisted).

MDI Gurgaon Campus
MDI Gurgaon is housed inside 37-acres of fully-residential campus at Gurugram. Situated in a lush-green, serene environment, MDI Gurgaon features state-of-the-art facilities that enrich the student’s learning experience. Library in MDI is the 
best one could expect with around 50.000 books and electronic sources. The lecture halls are air-conditioned and there are numerous conference halls and administrative blocks. The computer centre is well-furnished with latest technologies.
The hostels are rich in features and there are 3 hostels for men, 2 for women and 2 for faculty. There are also facilities to play golf, tennis, badminton and table tennis apart from the gymnasium and recreation room. There are multiple canteens available through-out the campus.
