Introduction

CMAT or Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an AICTE conducted, the national-level entrance test for admitting management aspirants to various colleges in India.  Started in 2012 by AICTE, the CMAT scores currently are accepted by 2500+ AICTE-approved management institutes in the country. Before 2016, CMAT was held twice a year, a practice discontinued due to a smaller number of test-takers in the 2nd conduction.

Currently, the test is one of the 4 major management entrance exams in the country after CAT, XAT, and MAT. In 2016, a little over 1 lakh student appeared for CMAT 2016.
